Lambert is so frustrating! He was about 25 yards away from goal, Ibe collects the ball, runs towards the by-line and where's Lambert when the cross goes in? Still 5-6 yards outside the box.

Same here mate.  I'd rather have the stadium sound and no commentary though.

      Yay it's back  ;D

He really is slow, was he that slow at southampton? It's strange cos he scored loads for them, I know a lot was penners though.

I think only part of it is down to him being slow, I just think he's being lazy 'cause he's gotten comfortable being at his boyhood club.

      Good run out that.
Plenty to build on, and a decent game against a competitive team.

Decent game for the lads, compettive and they had to work hard for the win, should do their fitness levels some good.

Early days but looks like we will hopefully see more goals from our midfielders this season namely Hendo, Milner and Lallana.

Enjoyed this match, a much better test, they're no mugs at all and a lot of credit goes to the opposition well played Brisbane.

Nice to come back from behind and thought the pick of our players was Ibe and Milner. Origi looking more like what I expected and he still looks plenty far enough away in my opinion.

Only saw the 2nd half, but I liked what I saw. Good play by Henderson, Milner, Ibe.

I'd rather see Origi loaned to another EPL side, he's not ready yet for us.

With all the feel good factor concerning our signings, I have to say I'm more interested to see how Henderson performs today. Not sure what it is exactly but he looks hungrier, leaner; almost as if the presence of Gerrard departing has enabling him to express himself more.

I'm not watching today Rush but this was notable last season. He was always conscious that he had to cover for Stevie when they were both on the pitch and was notably more able to express himself when Stevie wasn't with him.

Unfortunately he is not foreign enough for some on here, though. I think him and Coutinho are going to have good seasons. For me, Hendo is as good a pressing midfielder as anyone in the Prem and he was (I think) about 7th or 8th in the league assists table last season. Testament to what good coaching can do as opposed to the "Just F**k him off he is sh*te" mentality that I and a lot of others were guilty of. See Mignolet.

I'd rather he be kept here and play in the early rounds of the cups and the odd substitute appearance so he can continue his development with us, he's had a one year loan, he needs to be in and around our squad, I have confidence he'll score goals for us when he finds his feet and he's playing in a more settled team that is more up to speed in terms of match fitness.
