I don't think Morenos fitness was ever a concern, just his decision making when attempting to defend. I can't watch this one, but would love to see how Gomez works out at LB.

I was just pointing out that he's possibly the only first team player not to get a minute of football so far in pre-season whilst Gomez will have 90 mins+ under his belt.

Lallana is so good to watch with the ball at his feet.

He's no doubt more motivated after being made captain too.

My 2p worth, All of the players will be more motivated without Gerrard now. Its natural, they want to prove they can do it without him.

It's probably why our stats from last couple of seasons were quite good when Stevie G did not play, the rest stepped up in his absence.

There's always an extra bit of motivation for a captain to show the rest of the team how it's done.
