City are packaging him in a box marked fragile as we speak.

      Seriously though... no.

No truth in it. His wages would be too high for a start. Can you imagine the TC's bargaining technique? Go on Stev, 25k. No? How about 30k? As much chance of me landing on the F***ing moon! Shame, because he's a good player...

He's on 120k per week at City, doubt we'll match that, plus he is almost as injury prone as Studge. Can't see this happening.

It's a no from me, the lad can never stay fit and can't play up top on his own. Think of it like this, if Sturridge was at another club and was getting injured like he does for us, would people want to sign him? I doubt it.

Note to our scouts please please stop, if I here one more link to another failed/injury prone striker I may well spontaneously combust.

      Falcao
      Walcott
      Jovetic

      Who next?

Has he even played that much the last couple of years? I don't want another injury prone player.

2013/14 - 6 starts and 14 sub apps in all comps (Prem: 2 starts, 11 sub)
2014/15 - 18 starts and 12 sub apps in all comps (Prem: 9 starts, 8 sub)

Not played a great deal of football. His goal record isn't too bad considering his lack of game time either but he just doesn't get himself onto the field.

He can play while Danny is out, and Danny can play while Jovetic is out!

Comical. Great goalscorer, just needs to keep fit. (appears to be made of even more fragile glass than Sturridge)

Since he did his cruciate in 2010 when he was 20, one would argue he's not been able to maintain fitness since?

      How about a loan deal?
If Sterling was to go to city (as to me he is clearly out of anfield) then how about even a one year loan of jovatic?
      Always rated him.
Think he just needs some games and some trust.
Would have him over an expensive and unlikely signing of Dzecko.

so you suggest we sell to a rival (or a team we are chasing)
and then take a bit of dead wood of there hands

I cant think of any form of 'swap' that we have gained from.

Taking a player who cant get into their team and has been deadwood for 2 seasons is plain stupid.

Do you think people who are looking at our players - such as Borini are thinking the same way your thinking about Jovatic? He was good in 2013 so hes got to be good now?

any deal or idea that weakens our 1st team should not be even considered.

Citeh have a lot of players that have a hard time making their squad so you can't really go by that. Half of their squad that can only make the bench would start for us. Comparing Borini and Jovetic is like comparing apples and carrots but I get your meaning. Jovetic's biggest problem is he can't seem to stay fit. Good little player if he wasn't made of glass.

Jovetic would strengthen our first team so not sure why you say that. I wouldn't want us to go for him though purely because of his injury record. It's nearly worse than Sturridge's.
