Good luck to the lad. Hope he does well but not at the expense of us .

Disappointed in this whole transfer - in and out. Another player who we bought - gave no chance - and then sold as a "failure".

Unfortunately for us, Benteke is a great Striker and we may regret facing him again. Better have our defence sorted by then!!

Although his time with us wasn't exactly prestigious, bet you he still thinks 'Phew, at least I wasn't at Villa last season'.

It was a confidence issue with him. A fantastic striker and I genuinely believe Palace have made possibly the best signing ever. It's as simple as what so many orhers were saying - wrong player at the wrong time. I don't doubt that had he played under a Benitez type Liverpool he would have flied for years.

He never got much of a chance really with us, he just didnt fit Jürgen's system.
If Palace put a nippy wee guy up front with him, he'll work out a good signing for them.

I don't think he particularly fitted Brendan's either.  Was a strange buy from a tactical sense.  Some very average performances along the way however he did have a 'decent' enough goals to minutes record with us.

Think he will do well at Palace.

Do you guys really think he didn't blast it wide or over all the time we would be selling him? I don't care what system he was put in, he was not accurate. He scored a fraction of the sitters he had. We are very lucky to get our money back on him... I am surprised that he kept his value with the performances last season.

I don't mind at all. If you want to stick your head in the sand and blame the fact he missed sitters almost every game on our system then go ahead 

I hope he does well at Palace though, just not when we play them.

TBH I was delighted we got so much for him, could easily have been another half price sale like Carroll.

It'll be interestign to see how he gets on at Palace, as others have commented he really does seem like a nice guy, but sometimes you need a bit more as a striker, he needs to unlock his inner beast, when he does boy oh boy will he be good.

It won't surprise anyone that I think he'll do well. There's some rebuilding to be done confidence wise and he's gone to a fairly moderate team who've sold their best player, but if he stays fit I'd expect him to score 15-20 league goals for Palace this season.
