There was one moment when he went to close ederson down , turned and saw no one following him and wasn't happy. But hey he doesn't give a F**k does he ?

      You're entitled to your opinion.

My opinion is that Your last sentence is correct. He doesnt give a f*ck. Pressing ederson ... only time he got near a city player all day. Pity he cant run back as quick eh or complete even a basic defensive task. He was embarrassing again yesterday. He was so bad it was funny. Easily among the worst 'defenders' in the Premier league. He even managed to make Grealish look like a 100m world beater.

He's a liability ... and a lazy one at that. And not the only one.

He comes across as laid back, but do people seriously believe he doesn't care about playing for his hometown club. Players can lose form. Talk of selling him is just nonsense.

I wouldn’t sell him despite his dip in form which is largely down to no midfield to fall back on anymore.

We've gone from Alan Hansen on MOTD to some twitter / tiktok louts leading the way on football analysis who oversimplify and come at everything with an agenda. Depressing.

Don’t think he is, his confidence is shot though. I think if you get 3 or 4 new midfielders in summer you’ll see his old form return.

Our old friend Corbs wants him getting the skipping rope out.

At least 15 mins per day, 30 in the off season. :D

This is just one example which really sums trent up sadly. Not interested in the slightest in defending or getting better at defending. Just shocking.

When you've got a centre back trying to do his job and leaving the middle to do trents as well  ... its just unacceptable I'm afraid. Pure comedy.

He’s like a new midfield signing!!!

Maybe all those times he was spotted with Jude it was just him picking his brain for his future position.

I wrote a long post but lets put it like this, not many people in the world of football can cross, chip, both feet provide different instinctual things and act on it and do it, Trent does that and there is no chain that holds him to be a defender.
This season like other players too it's been like whoa he's looking a bit crap here but weird season.
He is one of our most important players, the whole front selection of players now is exciting and promising, the other areas are up for grabs. Imagine having a purely defending right back and Trent or the right CB not having to worry about gaps. Needs to be explored and many of us have wanted this possibility for ages.

I think we can say he's a more offensively minded player as opposed to a defensively minded player. I remember at school there was always one lad who was just better at football than anyone else...not positionally, just a natural talent above all the rest of us. That's what Trent reminds me of....just gifted.

Nice video that explains a little why it makes sense that TAA should keeping playing at the back rather being put into midfield
