yeah yeah i've seen them come and go, no player is bigger than the club..... there's no other way to say it than, if he goes for free its bad for us. no other way of looking at it.

every time this is discussed, whether by ex players, journalists etc.... they say the same thing, this is a bad situation to be in, and a totally weird one. 3 key players in their final year. it's not good. amateurish tbh

It won’t be “bad” - it’s not ideal to lose top players but then it’s worth remembering who stepped in for him last season and how well he played

If Trent does go then Bradley comes in

What’s wrong ? Can we not move on as a club if TAA does decide to leave then ?

Yes Trent is a very good player , no doubt about that but we have shown that we can cover if he does leave and then it’s about getting more from others by adjusting tactics using players like Bradley

There are the same people now reacting as if it’s horrific that he will leave demanding he was dropped last season and also sold in the summer

The club will obviously look to sign a new RB when Trent leaves in the summer, that's a given.

Hakimi should be made top priority, or if not then Frimpong.

Just pray we renew Mo and Virg otherwise it's going to be another flat summer where we should've been busy.

Trent's words that led so many peeps to believe he's out of here were not printed in full context.

The only bit that mattered to me is when he said....he has always sorted out all of his contracts with LFC behind closed doors, and this time would be no different.

He ain't going no where....F**k Madrid!

Another one of those 'we can't fix everything in one summer' summers. Classic fsg.

We sold Coutinho for 140m and got Virg and Ali. Just how are we replacing 3 players who will all land at big CL clubs / rivals, with the square root of fcuk all coming in for them. Not to mention the players we needed this summer but didnt bother sorting ... again.

Cant do it all in one summer.

Had a Quick Look back and you are spot on , it’s staggering how some were going at him

I think there is an assumption among many football fans currently that being more emotional or more dramatic must mean that that they are more committed to the club. This is not just football but a big part of modern life. It's prevalent on social media and radio phone ins.

I'll acknowledge  that I'm an armchair fan and the majority of people on here probably commit more time, money and emotion to LFC than me. But I think that we should be able to discuss the club and players without being extreme about everything.

The exception is obviously the 90 mins of the match. At that time fans in the stadium, pubs and at home should be be noisy and emotional; none of us want a stadium full of fans munching prawn sandwiches and applauding politely when a goal is scored. But we do need a bit more calmness when discussing the club, the owners,  the management team and players, IMO.

It’s not been decided that all three are leaving and need replacing this summer

But why are you bothered about TAA - you clearly don’t rate him as a right back for us so you will be ok with him leaving

Manners and civility are the bedrock of a functioning society...but football club forums like this one are just spaces for like-minded LFC fans to let off a bit of steam. There are some who are a bit more abrasive with their opinions and that can cloud their message, but they are just words, they can neither hurt your pocket, nor break your bones.

True, the hostility that is prevalent on the web is by and large hidden. Thankfully in the real world, normal, balanced people have a natural empathy with others and would struggle to be as cruel.

It's a fair drop off if he does. Bradley a good player in the mould of Robbo but Trent is a much classier operator. Club should be doing everything in their power to keep him.

I mean not the way I’d try to gain captaincy though either if that is really the case.

Steven Gerrard was given the captaincy for that very reason!! ;)

      Spot on,

Was thinking the same watching last nights game.

The drop off from quality is evident in both full back positions.

Conor is young, he doesn't need to get a big head, just keep working his arse off.

Kostas on the other hand, as much as I love his persoanlity around the club and in the dressing room, IMHO we need to find a better Number 2 LB.

I agree that Tsimikas and Bradley are definitely a big downgrade on Robertson and TAA but these two are the best fullbacks of the EPL in the last 5 years.

Last night, what was clear was that they did there best in a B team where there is no real connection between players. They are not used to playing with each other. Tsimikas rarely plays, and if he does, it's not with Gakpo. Same for Bradley, he had to play with Chiesa for most of the game. In a functionning team, they would probably play much better.

Fair enough, never thought of it that way, but I still reckon Tsimikas, as likeable as he is, runs around like a headless chicken and 100% causes me quite a lot of heart palpitations.
