If Doku's final ball was better,it could have been a different result, kept going past Trent at will,Bradley all day long for me at RB when fit.as he is a better defender.

That's the problem with Bradley, he's fast becoming an injury prone player. Missed huge chunks last season and has done again this season.

Need to sign a RB who can defend and is reliable in the summer, no 2 ways about it.

I never felt we were in any significant danger of conceding a goal yesterday, city had a lot of the ball but we were in control of the game. They had a few half chances but the only time I was worried was when Tsimikas missed an attempt to cut out a pass late on and City got a bit of space for a brief moment.

There appears to be a lot of focus on the things our players can't do rather than the things they can do.
We talk about Trent and focus on his defensive work which is allegedly poor but to often ignore all the good stuff he does.
When we talk about Dom or Diaz it's about them not scoring enough goals rather than the workrate and pressing they bring to the team. Same for most other players.

11 points clear, 1 defeat in the league all season but let's all find a player to criticise. We all want players and the team to improve but let's celebrate the successes a bit more.

Trent continues to be an important part of the squad, a very good pass for the second goal yesterday.

Does anyone think Arnold is staying at this point? I hope he does stay. There is more for him to achieve here including being captain and pushing himself and the club to greater honors 🎖.

There is no football reason to leave and going to be the new toy at madrid with his buddy doesnt come close imo to staying here and building something with slot

Can't make up my mind. He's the one I'm not sure on.

On your second point there are always reason to seek pastures new, whether this reason prove to be right or wrong is another matter.

He's won everything there is to win at his boyhood club and could very well have an ambition to test himself in another league in another country.

Good luck to Trent if he decides to leave the club. Although I cannot think off hand of many players, who have really suceeded when leaving LFC.

I have thought he would stay but who knows what his pal Bellingham tells him.

Everyone knows how hard on players the Madrid fans are, I can't imagine why someone would want to go there and subject themselves to that but maybe Trent reads some of the sh*t said about him by Liverpool "supporters" it can't be much worse. Who knows.

He's got a big decision to make but he might be thinking about other factors as well as pure football reasons. He might want a new experience in life, a new country as well as a new football club.

We don't know what he's thinking about when he weighs up his options, probably only a few close family and friends know this. But, whatever he decides, I hope he's successful in life. Except when he comes back to Anfield in a Madrid shirt obviously; I hope Cody, Diaz or whomever tear him apart so we can all go on his ex player thread. "I told you, he's always been sh*t defensively"  ;D

Edit- personally, I think he's probably leaving. If he was staying he'd have signed a contract 6 months ago.

No footballing reason to leave that stands up imo. As for another country/life experience, he can do all that in his 30s when hes a retired legend here and never has to work another day in his life. Can live/do whatever he wants wherever he wants.

In football terms , this is as good as it gets and he should think carefully imo. Money isnt everything , but im sure he has enough money for many lifetimes already.

      Football reason is very simple

Real Madrid are the biggest club in the world

They have won the biggest competition in world football 15 team including 6 times in the last 11 years

I agree with you mate but maybe he just fancies a change, a new club and a new league.

I bet you would of said the same about Stevie G at that age with all the niggles he had.

Tbh the amount of sh*t Madrid players get when they're playing poorly is on a different level.

And what Trent gets is nowhere near the level of grief I've seen aimed at Fowler, Gerrard, Mcmanaman when they had poor games.

I get it, but the grass isn't always greener on the other side. We may bi*ch about Trent on her when he has a poor game, but we don't turn on him. But let's see what they do when he gets skint a few times against Barca and they lose or he doesn't get back in time for a goal in a big UCL game. We forgive and forger quickly here because hes one of our own. He wont have that luxury at RM.

I hope he's talked with lads from the past who went over there, because once it's done, it's done.

What if the lads like McMananan , Alonso or even Suarez talk to him and then players like Bale

Stevie at 20-21 years was playing 45-50 games. His injuries occurred earlier.

Bradley enters the pitch for 5mins the other week and has to be taken off again.

For sure, but listen to Mcmanaman talk about it. He said he felt a bit out place tells a story of winning the UCL and the celebration being weird due to the language barrier. He said he also feels a distance from the fans due to leaving on a free. I just say all of this to say that sometimes it works out and sometimes it doesn't, but make no mistake aboutnit, things will be different with a portion of the supporters if he leaves. I'm not saying anyone is right or wrong for their feelings, him or the fans, just that it will be different. Is that worth it? Only he knows that. But if he goes over there and it doesn't take off it could be one of those situations where he looks back with regret later.

Were set up to win for the foreseeable future. I hope he considers that too

With there only being a couple months left of the season, when do we think his leaving announcement will be?
Surely it will be before the end of the season so that he gets a goodbye of some sort on the last day of the season.

You don't think that's a dangerous mindset? I can let the guy dribble past me, because last time it happened nothing bad came from it. TBF we don't know that's the mindset from Arne and TAA. I imagine they both have addressed it and will work to make sure it doesn't happen again. Anthony Gordon has a better end product than Doku and he will make you pay for those mistakes. Need Trent to be up for it
