That's good news, he can say a proper goodbye to the fans.

      FYI

Good luck to him, just wish it was barca rather than Madrid he's going too, saying that Madrid new stadium is pretty awesome,  and it's a no bad team. L o l

The end of the season is over 2 months away? Suggests he’s out for 6-8 weeks rather than 2-3. So yeah don’t really see it as good news

      Ah 👍

From what has been said it was said 2-3 weeks with maybe him and Bradley back for the Derby but guess that’s changed

"Proper goodbye"? What and we "wish him all the best" too?

If he leaves Liverpool there is no "proper goodbye".

That mural comes down immediately and he becomes McManaman.

Well aware the current ownership take a large part of the responsibility for the situation with him (as well as Virgil and Salah) and they will again be hammered for it, but anyone who chooses to leave Liverpool ends any affiliation with the club going forward.

Although tbf slot is pretty vague on injuries and he did say he’s still being assessed so I might be reading too much into it.

      Thanks for the memories Trent.

I suspect he’s going to be one of those that realise the grass isn’t greener away from Liverpool but let’s see.

No word on the type of injury sustained? Guess a sprained ankle or fracture?

I think so. He said "before the end of the season" because it's intentionally vague I would guess. Gives him some room for it to be not that bad, or at it's worst, he should still make an appearance before it's all over. That's how I read it.

I think the season is over for him anyway. We're bound to win the league unless there's a miracle and there's a final on Sunday. So, in about a month, there's nothing much to play.

I feel that most of us, fans, are ready to see him leave. And it might be for the better. When we lost Coutinho, we were losing one of the best young players there was. If Trent leaves, we'll be losing the same, but the experience with COutinho shows that we can still improve. Yes, we won't have money, but maybe with a more defensively solid RB, we will prosper.

I wish him the best, here or elsewhere.

I mean... the Coutinho thing was only a good thing for the club because we got insane money for him. If TAA leaves on a free transfer he's actively F***ing the club. Extremely different outcomes.

Yes, me might thrive with some other type of fullback (although what TAA brings to the team is very hard to replicate) but that will absolutely not be thanks to him.

Not a surprise Salah has never been quieter.

If we remember the game up at Newcastle, Quansah too started that game, supply to right flank cut off. Mo very quiet.

Second half, on comes Trent, two assists for Mo.

Yeah and he was starting to play so well Tuesday when he got injured. He’s brilliant. Sadly looks like we’re gonna have to get used to playing without him

Indeed. We are not bleedin Everton. Their send off to Moyes, banners wishing him all the best ("Good luck Moysie") as he was about to take over Man U, has to be one of the most small time displays ever seen.

Anyone that decides to leave Liverpool FC, unless binned by us, can get to F**k.

Trent would've been a big help for sure - heck even Bradley or Gomez would've helped, whether he would've the difference between winning and losing......I'm not too sure. They were simply better all over the park.

Yes they were better all over the pitch. My point is he’s one of our main creators. Without him we created absolutely nothing until it was too late. Like literally nothing. And Salah had no involvement. A killer not having him and Bradley at the same time but sadly Bradley is injured a lot

      Good comment and spot on.
Salah definitely had a bad day with the coincidental no show of Alexander Arnold.

The obvious conclusion is that the play of both directly influences the game result.
In the short term and while they are fit the partnership is a bonus - in the longer term which FSG are less likely to contemplate for financial reasons it is a grave error in a football context.

Trent like Mo can create something out of nothing. We are just a more dangerous team with him on the pitch (some would say more dangerous defensively to ourselves!) and we missed him immensely. That's why it baffles me when so many people are resigned to lose him or basically don't care to see him go because they think his defensive liabilities are a big deal (they aren't).
