He's going to be a big player for us.

Can see him taking Clynes place in the starting 11 over the next two seasons.

If he can displace Clyne by the time he's 21, he'll be doing very well.

As ever with young players, he'll have a few bumps in the road, but if his development continues as it is, he could be some player.

      Agree.

I'd settle for him starting 20 games next season.

If he manages 20 starts he will have displaced the incumbent.
      Something I doubt somehow.

I'm talking League Cup, FA Cup and some League Games.

Wouldn't be hard to approach 20 starts if we do well next season.

He is still 18 mate and you just need to look at him he has the physique of a 16 year old.

20 starts against fully grown men might be a stretch for a 19 year old, filling out a bit might help.

I think it would be too much if it was a game every week, but he'll likely have plenty of recovery time, and he's a lot stronger than he looks.

      That's what I mean.

Its not inconceivable that we could play 60ish games next season.

But then Matip is hardly a tank, he looks like he needs to fill out but he can more than hold his own as he has proven against the likes of Costa and Ibra. Sometimes physique can be deceiving.

TAA can't be far off being able to be under real consideration for more first team action surely?! Especially when you consider how poor Clyne has been this season.

Thought he did well playing high up the pitch in the Derby on Saturday. Really liked his confidence to get on the ball and play. I've been wanting Jürgen to go with a proper wide player later on in games when we are defending a lead and TAA fits the bill in that he is a defensively minded wide player who will protect his full back and stop the oppo pinging in crosses (see Man city and Burley goals) quite so easily.

It's what I've wanted us to do with Moreno on the other side too. I don't rate him as a left back but he's good at helping the full back when he's been asked to play further up.

It's going to intriguing to see where TAA ends up playing in the future. There's no doubt in my mind he'll be in the squad for many, many years.

It's funny I considered my thoughts in Moreno as I posted that but it dawned on me he doesn't really have any defensive instincts! I just sh*t myself whenever he is in the team period, I can't help it! He scares the sh*te outta me.

      :D

I always wonder why small players get told early on they'll never make it but thick tw*ts like Moreno & Adama Traore are OK :D

Aye but at least young Traore has some ability! I'm pretty sure he will get better but Alberto will always be a liability!

At left back, but maybe not so as left wing? I mean, take a look at Moses....

I don't think I can put into words how much I enjoy watching Arnold play. Fingers crossed he gets some serious game time next season.

Some player, nice work from Grujic too.

I like both these players and think both could figure heavily next season.
I hope Clyne is watching the game :D
