I doubt his reading my posts and I am not saying that he has to become the best RB this club has ever seen, just that I think he has everything in his locker to make it happen.

I am excited by the potential that this lad has and him being a local boy n all, don't see why he can't become a great.

I get what you're saying I do but I am not in the media writing articles about the fact he could be the best RB we've seen, I am posting it on a forum where he will have no clue.

Maybe I do need to brush up on my knowledge of previous RB's seeing as the best RB I have seen play for Liverpool in recent memory is Steve Finnan.

maybe you should because saying a player can be the best Liverpool has had without knowing who came before isn't really showing respect to former players who are a massive part of this clubs History and in particular Phil Neal.

if you don't understand then really what is the point. He is in his first full season doing well and people like you want to build him up into the best full back the club has ever had. If you knew your history you would know how good our fullbacks/wingbacks have been.
Give him a break because he is just a boy allow him to develop is that so hard to understand.

I don't think he's being negative in any way, I think he's just looking at the potential that Trent has. I'm excited about it as well. Imagine a local boy being able to hold down that position for years and years to come.

Was I wrong then? With the quality Trent has shown at such an early age is it not possible for him to become our best RB?

Obviously, I mean no disrespect to past players nor to the club, I love this club after all.

Still reckon he might end up with more appearances for us in midfield than at RB, but he's a pretty lethal weapon out there at the moment so we'll see.

didn't say he was being negative if anything quite the opposite and we shouldn't be putting labels on these young lads before they have even won anything   and certainly not without knowing who exactly he is being compared to.

Has Trent ever played left back? Just thinking ahead for that first CL leg.

Both of our full backs look knackered, Andy has got a break not taking part with Scotland so hoping Walker is picked ahead of Trent.

Withdrawn from England due to back injury. Hopefully he was "pulling a sickie" and not something serious.

I'd be amazed if it wasn't Milner.

Trent is the man - we need him for the run in. No coincidence that we play much better with him in the team

Excellent news (for us). Our record of having players injured while on England duty is pretty damning.

He always seems to be in for some form of criticism one way or another but I thought Trent was really really good today. Both he and Robbo did superb jobs on the wings today.

He was great yesterday, some of the passes he finds makes me think he could have a future at CM, he seems to be able to easily play a pass which splits a defence. Personally, would keep him at RB as I think when his on-form his defending can be just as good as his play going forward.

      Keep it up lad!

Seems to be getting better defensively too which is going a bit unnoticed IMO.

It's funny, watching the game I picked out a few times where I thought he got caught out defensively and if you'd have asked me based on my eyes, I'd have said he didn't have a very good game, but stats wise I think it bears out that he had a really good game. I still don't think he's on Robbo's level yet and maybe that's why I judge Trent a little more harsh. He's still super young and that's easily forgotten.
