Has a pretty average game (everyone was crap) and gets bloody injured

Thats very very hard on Trent. Tournament over and a race against time to be fit for the start of the new season id say.

Apart from being a waste of time, they put too much stress on players already fatigued.

Southgate said looks like thigh rather than hammy.

Simply get fit asap, at least in time for next season.

Ridiculous. Just had to happen to one of our players after all the injuries we’ve had and in a pointless game where others could so easily could have featured. Just hope there is no long-term damage.

4-6 weeks so misses the Euros

Hope he is OK take some well earned rest .I am sure he will be terribly disappointed but I think most of us are quietly relieved.

Southgate will be relieved too at his masterstroke.

Include TAA in the squad, and get praised for doing the right thing. Then he gets injured, and withdraws, and Southgate can now pretend he was always going to play him. 

I just knew our players would return broken after international duty, especially those in the England team.

Gutted for the lad but at the least the media & other so called experts won’t be able to point the finger at him when England get embarrassed.
