The only real issue I have with the analysis is that the reason he's caught so much defensively at times is a system issue more often than a player issue

he is a f***in Moron his punditry is a joke and he never gets scores correct he thinks his view is worthy but remember how he coached his team in Spain so why would anyone listen to him. Jürgen is not going to take kindly from someone like him thinking he knows more than he does about his player. As has been mentioned our system is more at fault than Trent you cannot defend when you are the furthest person up the field. Our performances as a team have led to this not Trent regardless of his current form we have been poor defending and our energy level shave not been high enough to press the opposition.

For me the first way to try and get him out if this slump would be to allow him to play a more basic RB role. Forget about joining the midfield, stay up and down the line support the attach and allow Salah to move inside.

Pretty much what Jürgen has him doing tonight right?

Does anyone listen to his nonsense at all? He's just entertaining the public. We need a clown so that the experts can stand out against him.

See Kyle Walker has had a groin op and is doubtful for the World Cup.
One more injury back there and Southgate may have to eat lots of humble pie and invite Trent along.  If that happens, I pray to F**k Trent says
“ sorry mate, I clearly wasn’t wanted, and got my hols booked now. F**k off and find someone else”

Massively talented, but way off the boil. Needs to be dropped for Citeh or will be made mincemeat of.

Less problem with the first goal, Martinelli is world class. Second is utterly brainless after Hendo holds him up.....

Yeah didn't understand the need for Trent to go charging in like a bull and do nothing but make Martinelli's mind up for him.

I dodnt understand how it went from a free kick to us to them running on our goal within 5 seconds..

      Cant be right that.

The lad is shot mentally at the moment - he is being ripped apart from pillar to post by everyone in the media to even his own fans. Hopefully being taken out of the limelight for a bit will do him some good - this is his first drop in form since he burst onto the scene

Nah questions have been asked before of Trent and he's always come back firing.

One thing is for sure if he's not playing well the cupboard is rather bare.

      Gomez Milner Ramsay.

      Trouble.

We have three players to cover right back - how many does a club need

Any slim chance of him going to World Cup are now over it would seem.
Hopefully he can come back full of focus.
His form has been poor for a while.

Saw quote from TAA in some interview where he said  apparently:

"I never like to play the position, I play the game."

"You play the position, it limits you. It’s like playing with shackles on."

      plus some other stuff.

Interesting timing for the comments. He is a excellent talented player, but sometimes at FB, or any position, if you are not where you are expected to be and someone is slow to cover, the other team can exploit that?  So not maybe that straightforward.

Dunno, I didn't read the full article, just spitballing

The lad has been playing FIFA too much.

So now he plays beyond the "position"? Well, he's proving how impressive that genius idea is.

Perhaps he needs to go back to playing within the team not outside it.
