Not much chat about how average Andy Robbo has been this season??

A few games where he's shown what a leader he is but football wise has been just as poor as Trent for the most part.

The club are not going to buy a ā€œworld classā€ right back FFs

TAA has been key to the club winning multiple trophies over the last 5 years - itā€™s f**king pathetic the current pile on

It isn't pathetic, Trent has been absolutely awful defensively and his output going forward hasn't been where it should be.
The pile on is absolutely warranted. At one point Modric flicked the ball over him and he WALKED back towards the goal. He is playing in the champions league knockout stage and he's got such an ego he WALKED when he got cooked.

What bugs me is how he gets beat and then slowly jogs back. He should be annoyed that heā€™s been beat and should bust a gut to try and recover the ball or at least put a bit of pressure on so the centre backs can deal with the danger. I swear he used to have more desire.

If Trent was trying to break into the team right now, thereā€™s no way heā€™d be be slowly jogging back. He would be swiftly dropped. But because heā€™s been immensely successful and doesnā€™t have competition, it seems like he feels that he doesnā€™t have to put in the requisite effort when defending.

I totally disagree about Robertson. He has been much better than Trent.

I never said that Trent has been a disaster but we need give a run in midfield. He has the pass ability, shot ability, pace ability. He can be a very good option but who am I?!

Funny that every team we play against targets him for a reason. Trent cannot defend and it's big weakness that we have and we don't even have a midfield that cover for him. City got rid of Cancelo for the same reason.

He has but at least Robbo wins most of his 1 v 1 duels and looks like is interested in defending.

      Trent Iā€™m not so sure.

Still not sure what the big deal is here. Trent has played poorly at times as have most of the back 4, including our priorly impenetrable Virgil.

Trent is what he is...a creator that can play decent defense but you wouldn't want to leave him alone 1v1 with the likes of a Vini Jr for a whole game. When our back 4 are doing their job (and we have a functioning DM) Trent doesn't really have any defensive issues per se and he can go and do what we've all loved to see him do over the years...create. The years in fact that he's won every trophy a person could win all by the age of 24. I'll give him a pass for having a bad year the same year as just about everyone else is. We'd be silly to sell him to someone else. Actually silly isn't a harsh enough word. If we were to sell him based on his performance this season, it would be downright idiotic.

I know Carra catches a lot of flack, but his comments on Trent the other day were dead on.

Stuck between a rock and a hard place with Trent....yes he's awful defensively but at the same time he's our biggest chance creator in the side so personally feel Klopp will continue playing Trent at RB and look to reshuffle the midfield pack so it resembles as close to what it did when we had peak Fab Hendo and Gini marshalling.

      He's had a shocker of a season.

But anyone calling for him to be sold should be F***ing gagged.

I think itā€™s pretty rich for people to assume they know Trent has a poor attitude. We donā€™t know whatā€™s going on in his personal life or behind the scenes in training.

Ale and shagging round is one rumour I've heard.

In truth he was never great in one v one situations. I think he's a bit flat footed and doesn't have any real explosive pace from a standing start. Wingers go past him easily. Also and I said this 3 years or so ago - he lacks a bit of courage. I've seen him back off a few 50-50 situations this season.

He doesn't go in hard, I mean he hardly ever gets booked. He's clocked up over 260 games so the club know his strengths and weaknesses.

Would he be better in midfield, I mean then we could bring in a top defensive RB. Yes Trent could spread the play, put more crosses in etc. The issue is I suppose if it doesn't work then that leaves Trent in limbo.

He is just a young lad - was brought in more for the future but could also play cup games etc

Built like a brick sh*t house and the limited time I saw him, thought he looked really good.

Think they will pin their hopes he comes good as competition so they don't fork out anymore money on the position.

Maybe after few more loan spells, next season would be too soon.
