we got to do something to try to open them up. as things are now, they are in comfort zone. a surprise run, will make things harder for them. its a risk we have to take imo

Is there really a need to be so kamikaze 35 minutes in to the season?

Skrtel in a nutshell there. Has the chance to smash it forward and rolls it along the floor going with the Stoke tide of attack and nearly catches Mignolet out. Amateurish and brainless once more by the Solvakian

Not really s threat on their goal yet, but worrying, is it nerves or just short of ideas ?

I think we're being reserved and would expect the tempo to be a lot higher in the second half.

It just feels like we don't have a plan. We're not attacking with real purpose at all.

Think he's had some time off because of the birth of his daughter but he has travelled with the team.

      Ah ok, cheers mate.

If Balotelli was in Benteke's place, everyone would be fuming at him that he doesn't help the team and so on.

The system is the problem, not an individual player.

Have our players forgotten how sh*t Johnson was? Target him! Lacking imagination in our attack right now, they're leaving Benteke isolated and then we just panic and long ball it to Benteke.

Wish these whiney arse Stoke fans would shut up, all they've done is cry for 35 minutes.

i personally dont see it as a big risk as you do. one midfielder makes run and the other covers. in your logic, wing backs should not make runs, becuase that will open space behind them, thats a risk too.

Suicidal football that when you don't have Sturridge and Suarez in your squad. Remember Real Madrid at home. Fast start and then we were pulverised 20 minutes onwards when we ran out of gas. Pragmatism and measured pace is the way to go. Up the intensity into the second half. The good job is we have the options on the bench to do that now.

We look more likely out of the two sides to pick out that piece of play that will bring about a goal. It's a solid performance so far although I do harbour concerns about Henderson's role here. Deep lying midfielder but offering very little of what a deep lying midfielder should do there. There still seems to be a bit of a gap between midfield and defence here that opposition players could exploit.

Agree completely. I think the Milner and Henderson duo is the biggest weakness for us out there at the moment, they're too similar. Can and or Lucas in there would free up somebody to go forward and support.

I know it's Stoke, but it's not Pulis Stoke and we're looking laboured trying to connect with the front man.

I think Firmino coming on in the second half for Lallana will give us more attacking impetus.

Without a forward line like Sturridge, Suarez and Sterling like we had two season ago then you're deploying kamikaze tactics with the Wright Brother's plane as far as I'm concerned.

Lawrenson saying on 5 Live that Henderson's not offering much being played as a deep lying midfielder.

Not his position. I wouldn't put Lucas in there either - getting old, and too often looks as if he's running through treacle.

So what are the options? Only Can to be honest.

after last season I think 0-0 is ok at halftime. Look a little bit like strangers at present so I hope second half will be different. We need two up top we always have done
