Why we always have to be the one to play the last game of the round while the scums gets every opportunity to play the first game. Those bloody bias scums remnants in the FA still around inspite of that ferghead gone. The FA simply gave me an excuse to moan.

Or maybe Sky want to show our games on TV and there are no other slots left in their usual schedule (i.e. Saturday night or Sunday afternoon).

It's a bit of a nuisance playing Monday nights but I don't see how it gives us a disadvantage over anybody else we're playing. Beat Bournemouth this coming Monday and it puts Arsenal under the most pressure when it comes to our game at the Emirates.

I would agree with the line up, except I'd stick with Gomez. The lad did ok against a tough Stoke side, should do even better at home against a team he knows from Championship last year. It's great for building up his confidence.

I'd actually give Lallana another chance in the second half. I'm really frustrated with him because he was one of my favourite players of the league before we bought him and he clearly has the work ethic and talent, just  needs better decision making. Would be a good game to get a 2/3-0 head start, then give likes of Ings and Origi a run out too.

I agree entirely about Gomez, spot on.

Lallana also. Don't think he deserves a starting spot with the potential knocking on the door. It is frustrating to watch him play, not only is he stop-start with injuries, but his ability should be influencing our game more - but instead, it's more periphery.

Still, there not 'bad' dilemmas to have.

I'm no fan of Lovren but when a player has an excellent first game of the season the last thing you do is drop him for the next game. His confidence is fragile enough already. If Lovren fucks up again then Sakho will be waiting in the wings.

Lovren was far from excellent mate. He was just less crap than Skrtel. Our best pairing is Skrtel and Sakho both ability wise and communication wise so they should be the starting pair IMO.

I think all teams have Monday night games. Man City just managed fine in there's,  so we can't use that as an excuse.

You are right it has no advantage or disadvantage but we just simply want to get the right result the soonest possible and get it out of the way. Having say that, I won't start to underestimate Bournemouth. If they are good enough to be promoted they are good enough to provide the challenge. Furthermore, nothing much is known of them and they can be very dangerous, that's where we don't want to get complacent and underestimate them.

Skrtel is hardly a communicator, though.

I'm sorry but Skrtel's communication was sh*te on Sunday - par for the course for him. Lovren was streets ahead of Skrtel.

I honestly think Lovren gets far too much criticism and its fashionable to criticise him on here, while Skrtel can do no wrong because he's 'experienced' - he had a bad season yes but not much worse than Skrtel, but lets not make that get in the way of judgement when he plays well.

Darn sight more so with Sakho than with Lovren.

I honestly don't want us to take these lightly, but I'm expecting a good result, we should on paper have far too much for these to live with, but I want us to have the mentality where a good result, playing good football is a must, lets start building up some confidence before we face le Arse.

Yeah they're good odds, maybe the reason I don't bet often is that my mums a bookie but it's very possible, we could get a rough awakening as they say, I think 2 goals from Benteke though and one from Henderson or Milner from a free kick. I don't mind where our goals come from as long as we win.

I like the story behind Bournemouth and want them to stay up. But it's their first season in top flight, and sooner rather than later they need a footballing lesson. I have a feeling that we are going to give that to them comes Monday.

5-1 to the reds. Big Ben (2x), Milner, Clyne and Ings.

It's just standard that when you think you're going to get  good result, it turns out to be so much tougher than you anticipated.

I can tell you right now, if Liverpool don't show these guys respect then a surprise upset might be instore.

Would love Benteke to get up and running in this game...
