Why on earth are you discussing the Arsenal game in the match thread for Bournemouth?

So Can comes on and transforms the game away at Stoke.

      His reward?

      Back on the bench.

Because this isn't an Arsenal/Liverpool match thread, it's the Bournemouth match thread. Do you not understand how this forum works? Or would you like to just post whatever you want in whatever thread you like?

Can is not 100% match fit he didn't have a pre season.

so you're saying that everyone in the starting lineup is match fit and had a full pre-season.... might want to have another look....

If he was such the fine player many make him out to be, he would of been snapped up years ago. Anyway, hopefully some mug will come in and give us a decent wedge for him.

Come on Reds! Normally I wouldn't be able to watch this game, but on the weekend I had a pretty bad fall, hit my head on the floor and needed seven stitches. I'm now at home getting some rest instead of being at work, which means I get to watch LFC - even bad things have good sides, I suppose.

I'd have expected one of Ibe or Lallana to be dropped but I'm more than happy to see this lineup and how they'll fare against a newly promoted side at home.  Personally I think Ibe is a very talented youngster but nowhere near Sterling's level, different to what some people have said; and Lallana was pretty poor in the first game so I thought Firmino might have got his first start. Anyway, hoping for a 2nd win and a perfect start to the season.

If Lucas hadn't picked up a horrible knee injury that kept him out for over 12 months I guarantee big clubs would have been interested.

      He's still a good player.

1st home game of the season, we can possibly go to the top of the league, and some are moaning and bitching like spoilt brats.

Get better Diego lad, even with a bump on the head, you've got more footballing sense than a few in this thread already.

      Can deserves to start.
      Sakho deserves to start.
      Firmino deserves to start.

Not to worry, everyone will be in full mocking mode by the time the game ends, ignorance is bliss, should probably join the cheerleaders must be fun cheering everything is the right decision no matter what decision is made :lmao:

quite happy with no changes i think we have changed teams too much in the past got to give these lads time to establish themselves and find form.
I am sure we will have plenty to be complaining about as the season progresses but for me so far we have 100% record and that will continue tonight.
Why are we talking about Arsenal its a bit confusing here at imes.
COME ON YOU MIGHTY REDS 6=0 takes us to of the league 5 points ahead of Chelski

Yes they all did apart from Benteke who was training all Summer with Villa before he joined us.

Can has an extended break after the U21 World Cup.

So if we win 3-0 was the right decision made mystic meg?

I think we will win 3 or 4 nil and my decision on whether the correct decision was made would be tempered by the selection against Arsenal. If Brendan uses the results as justification to start the same XI as tonight against Arsenal then I would say no.

If he changes it and Can / Firmino come in then I would say it's fine. I do suspect though, as you can tell by my tone, that we will win 3 or 4 nil and we will start this team against Arsenal and then I think we'll be found out, hence why the mistake is potentially now.

      Coutinho didn't either.

Anyway, I think it just shows that we can now put to rest the idea that there is some sort of fight for places based on how you play.

Lallana was shocking last week and walks right back into the starting XI.

it's about who the manager likes, basically.  It is what it is.
