Did Georgered really mention FC Darmstadt in the match thread?

Who'd have thought he was a football hipster?

Get in there. Two games, two wins, two clean sheets. Can't ask for more than that.

Real happy for Benteke to get off the mark, completely takes the pressure off him now and he should kick on, really impressed with him tonight.

Could've had two. Thought the keeper got just enough hand to it. Unlucky, two would've been nice (for my FF score too :) )

Didn't really deserve to win but it's better to get our luck in early in the season rather than late.  Fair play to Bournemouth as they came to play.  Firmino didn't exactly light it up.  Gomez is just brilliant though.  As is Can, who should be starting in place of one of Henderson/Can.  Lallana was his usual embarrassing self.

Can has to start at Arsenal.

I'd be concerned with your beloved Chelsea in 16th. Plenty of explaining to do, and not just their racist fans you defended on here.

I don't have time to check his stats, i'm just watching the match and he struck me as a flair player, who could be better used without asking him to run around and closedown players.

He would help us even more if we don't restrict him and offer him more of a freerole upfront, that was the point i was trying to make.

Milner, Clyne, Gomez, Coutinho, Benteke exceptional

we look good defensively, finally. it's been ages since we've looked good defensively

time to post positives and what you're seeing unfold with our new players and gameplan, not getting sucked into George's trolling, who should be banned instantly

They do show it you're right, but it doesn't matter, because you don't even f**king watch it.

I thought you based this fact off the tireless viewings of Hoffenheim last year where you watched Roberto relentlessly and twice that much when he squared off against Darmstadt on Eurosport?

i thought we lost balance when Hendo was taken off , not saying he was spectacular just done his job and brought balance . Anyway 3 pts in the bag again . For me Clyne has nailed that right back position he reminds me a lot of Finnan , he's like a brick wall so much so that Bournemouth got pissed off of going down our right and concentrated on the left instead .

Yeah sorry George, not sure where you're coming from with that. I too watched plenty of the Bundesliga, not saying I focussed on Firmino much but I do know he tracks and puts a shift in.

This also backs up that view of it:

(just click defensive, his number of tackles are up there with Lucas')

Very lucky to get the win..but we should all be happy about the 3 points.
As i expected this will be our pattern over the first half of the season...BR will set us up with the 2 CM players in the hope of us being more solid ddfensively. I think its a massive gamble imo coz in both matches we could easily have conceded had the opposition taken their chances. Once again our threat must come through Coutinho and on the occasions he has an off game we better hope Firmino is up to speed by then.
Very encouraged by Bentekes performance too...i thought he worked hard and ran good lines...service was lacking though but he also missed a sitter.
Lots to improve on...but 6 from 6 is a perfect start!

Goes to show sometimes what a player is doing out there does not show up in the stats...yeah the midfield seem to crumble when he came off...Lallana stepped in though and actually look much better playing deeper.

I was exagerrating, i did watch him when Hoffenheim played some important games, and that was my opinion of him. Didn't watch every Hoffenheim game of course.

Not only is the formation wrong, the player selection is wrong. We are being managed by a weak novice.. Luck and nothing more has got us six points. It will not last. We have no identity or pattern of play. We are in trouble but some are singing from the rafters.
Once again , i see no progression in our play or attitude.
You're still spouting the same bullshit from last season I see! F**k off with your negative attitude, it must be killing you that we've won our first two games.
Our attitude was spot on, every player gave 100%. So we didn't hammer them, welcome to premier league football, there are no easy games, and the newly promoted teams will be the teams that try the hardest.
Feel free to continue with your  monotonous Brendan bashing, but the fact remains it's Brendan 2-0 Little face.

So now you've gone from being clueless about German football, then an expert in it so much you watch Darmstadt games, to the point that 'actually I don't watch much of it', in the space of less than 10 minutes.

      Impressive stuff.
