Even Harry can see that Gomez is a right footed left back that always comes inside. If he can see it every manager can. Why persist with such an obvious attacking weakness?

So why hasn't Benteke had somoebody up front with him so far and why wait for Sturridge. He will probably play as a wing back claiming its all part of his re introduction to the team

My guess it he has been concentrating on keeping the goals out at he back in Sturridge's absence, and will focus more on our attack scoring more than our defence conceeds when he's fit. Much like the 13/14 season.

So why play your best full back out of position ?
And as for Lallana v Shelvey. Lallana may be the most technically gifted of the two, but Shelvey has the bigger impact on a game more regularly.
No point in buying technical geniuses all over the pitch if they can't influence a game !

That'll be Harry "Brown Envelope" Redknapp then!!

That will be , spent less money in his career , than Rodgers, and won more trophies. Harry Redknapp.

I think we will see things better once Sturridge is fit, I think Benteke may thrive once he has someone up front with him.

C'mon mate . Your can't possibly believe that. It's always one more thing that will fix everything. Like  relying on an injury prone striker that needs about 10 games to get back in his stride.

Now this may sound crazy, but , what if we had a plan B. Just for once. I know it's far fetched but just imagine our manager actually proving himself to be anything more than inept.
