2 centre backs and 1 centre mid on the bench? Unbalanced bench strikers again.

Not sure about that. De Gea was guaranteed to play. Happy Rooney is out even though he's been poor.

Had hoped Sturridge would make the bench. There's not much back up there if we need a goal.

Will take the 3 points any way.

Happy to see two strikers, not too thrilled about Lovren starting. That said, with Fellaini playing striker, United are going to be playing route 1, and Lovren is fairly decent in the air.

Indeed, expecting to see Lovren's 'I've been elbowed' impression more than a few times, wonder if he can get the lad sent off, more likely the ref wont fall for it. I actually think Oliver is a decent ref and I expect us to struggle in that department.

Up the other end though I think we can get joy if we don't set out to fail.

Invite them on and I think we're in trouble, step up and fight back and I think we can win, nervous now.

Says more about the manager than it does Lovren, it's conclusive he picks favourites over form in my opinion. (not that there was any doubt in my mind but even his biggest supporters would struggle putting up a counter argument to that now).

I don't think we will be seeing much of the ball so all the more important we make some of it when in possession and don't give it away needlessly.
Although having said that the hoofs up to Benteke might be more productive today with him having a partner.

Sakho fit enough for the bench but not to start?. If he fucks up today it could crush him. Lets hope he gets it right today.

Come on lads, let's see some fight in our team. I'm not surprised that Lovren starts, nothing surprises me anymore when it's coming from Brendan.

They spent a huge sum of money and they start with Fellaini as a striker =))

Hopefully Firmino steps up otherwise creativity is limited in that team. We have the option of a 1433 or 1442 diamond - hopefully our pressing game means we can stop the supply to Fellaini
