That's not really true though is it?

I think Leeds fans used to think the same way.

Are we about to become the next Leeds United ? Surely there is a lesson to be learnt there. I was one of the minority that backed Brendan in the poll that we ran, and am now swinging the other way. We just seem clueless in how to break teams down. I accept we played better yesterday than we have done recently, but we should be able to deal with teams like Norwich etc.

I can't see FSG changing the manager unless things really go tits up, but it looks like another wasted season, another season where we don't win fcuk all ! This post probably will not make a lot of sense, but something has to change soon, or we are going to be so far behind the top four I wonder if we will ever get back.

Do something Brendan, and do it quickly !

Why? Because we are Liverpool? Have you seen where back to back European champions Nottingham Forest currently play their football and where they have for quite sometime. Or the once great Leeds United who were also "too big" to go down. Make no mistake, we're displaying form relative to a relegation threatened team, and IF it came down to that, under BR, there is no way his players would be up for a scrap.

      Never too big..

No not because we are Liverpool but because we are nowhere near one of the three worst teams in the league.

Have you seen the form guide? Or the league table? As bad as things are now, I've a hunch it's going to get worse...

I don't get this obsession with 'Net spend'. Players left and there wasn't anything Brendan could do. He perhaps didn't want them to go, but they clearly didn't want to be here. (Suarez and Stirling.) everyone else  that has left, has done so with Brendans blessing, and quite a few were forced out. ( Carroll, Reina, Kuytt,)  So where ever the transfer money came from, FSG, or player sales, Brendan has in effect bought £70m worth of players pre season, or thereabouts. This is his spend, on his selected players, for his system.
It's failing.  It's not getting any better now. He has had a similar transfer philosophy for the last three seasons and we are going backwards.
His squad, his selections from his player pool, his tactics, his substitutions, his team set ups.
His loyal assistants have been replaced. Brendan is still in control, and nothing has improved, so who else could be at fault.
To say FSG don't care as long as they make a profit is a deluded statement. The higher we finish in the prem, the bigger the payout. Into the CL and more payout. The further we proceed in the CL, the bigger the payout. Cup runs, more revenue.
Attractive attacking football, more t.v. coverage =  more revenue.
Of course they want us to succeed on the pitch. Success = more profit. Is there someone who doesn't understand that ?
They perhaps didn't understand quite what they had taken on with a prem club such as ours, but sure as eggs are eggs, they will be hurting as much as we are, even though it may be for different reasons.
I'm sure they will concede that even with a different team around him, Brendan is failing to hit the heights he has aspired to hit. He's on borrowed time now, thats for sure.

Newcastle got relegated. Mboro's Rava, Juninho, Emerson team was relegated. Manc Utd got relegated in the 70s, I think. And the turd extra-ordinaire, Woy Hodgson actually admitted "his" Lpool team were in a "welegation battle".

I cant see us getting relegated. But the confidence tricksters know they can ransack the squad of any top quality every year, and the team will sit at the upper end of mid table.

      Quote from Dadorious
How do you sum it up?

Probably the best overall performance in the last 15 games on the balance and taking the Arsenal first half into account.

Reality is that currently our best overall performance can not guarantee us 3 points against Norwich and that is where we are at.

Where we're at is 4 points off what the owners want from Brendan with 96 points to play for. He is safe.

It's just weeks since we went to Arsenal and got a point. A couple of games later, hysteria has taken over. To a neutral, it makes us sound like a bunch of Aston Villa fans. Praising the coach one week, demanding his head the next. The result of it is we look a laughing stock, as a club we don't know whether we're coming or going, and end up going nowhere.

Villa are back here at the weekend. We have won this fixture once in the past 6 years and not at all since the Hodgson nights. This one promises to be every bit as frustrating as those ones.

Yeah, and how is it, we get raided for our best players, we in turn raid southampton for their best players, then Southampton move in even lesser players, yet still play better than us ? They may be 2 points adrift of us, be least they look like that have a structure and strategy to their play. On our current form, we'll do well to match them.

Chelsea, Southampton and Bourmouth sit below our 13th position with Norwich in 12th
If we don't win at home against Villa on Saturday and they all do we'll drop right in it down the deep end before we go to Goodison then Tottenham..

only Newcastle look worse then us the moment... and they really are sh*te these days....

We need to start hitting the target.. our shooting was bad yesterday.. very bad.

No idea why he took Lucas off....

Moreno has to start at LB every week..

Another mid table performance i'm afraid...

the only thing thats changed at Anfield are the teeth !
