Mascot - Crouchinho - accepts the huge debt he owes the owners for his position and to RedLFCblood in particular for the costume and hood.

The second of 4 home games on the trot, my ticket is only £17 on the kop for this one, we badly need a confidence win after the Norwich game and a clean sheet too, the atmosphere is absymal at anfield at the moment, quite depressing actually, which is sad, the lads need to get themselves up for this one and the crowd do too, hoping for a nice little win and progression to the next round.

Chirivella amd Rossitter to start please. Give plenty of the youth a chance please Brendan.

I would like Rodgers to give Firmino a chance up top with Ings for at least a half and then bring on Sturridge to carry on with his rehab.

You can be in charge of the magic sponge and be our chief masseur too, although you will only be allowed to give massages to the younger, fitter players as the older players health my be put at risk by that level of excitement.

You need to watch those high expectations Saint, it'll only lead to heartbreak 

Have gone for a 2  0 win tonight, although not much confidence the way the side are playing. Think this competition is our only realistic chance of winning a trophy, even so just like Kenny think Brendan should be shown the exit door.

It might look like I dont want us to win this but I do. I'm a big fan if the league cup but the game at the weekend is crucial for me.

Also if that side can't beat Carlisle then there wasn't much point buying all the players we have over Brendan's time here.

Migs is on purely to get those mistakes from Sunday out of his system and Firmino needs games so I'd start him.

Bogdan needs a game. Have a look at Gomez at centre half. Start Pedro. Start Ings start Ibe. No toure no skrtel no lovern after that I don't care

What if we do win comfortably though mate? Will Brendan get any credit? Or will it just be a case of " well it was to be expected?

Actually looking forward to this game. Don't know why I keep getting excited about watching us! 

I'm not really in favour of us playing a youth squad for this.

It's a home game, sandwiched between two home games.  The team don't have to travel to the middle of nowhere.  Professional footballers should be more than capable of playing 2 home games a week in my view - especially when one of them is against a side 3 divisions below you.

Pick the same team as the weekend but Ings in for Benteke.
