If we can not win convincingly with that team, we're screwed, the fact that we have to play that team against Carlisle means we're screwed...

      Yep.

Apparently, this match is not shown live on tv anywhere, so we may not get any streams tonight?

Much stronger side than I was expecting. Then again, how strong of an XI could it be if Skrtel and Lovren are partnered together? ;D

I know it's against Carlisle United (who we should beat...should) but must we have to put up with Skrtel and Lovren again? We'd be better off putting two scarecrows in there. They make the Chuckle Brothers look strongly competent.

Unfortunately, until Skrtel scores a hat trick of own goals and shits in his hands and flings it into the Kop, he will forever get a free ride easier compared to Lovren.

In reality, the pair of them are as bad as each other. A shambles of a defensive pairing.

Please....don't give me flashbacks of that infamous night against Northampton 5 years ago. 'A plucky side' was the response we got from Hodgson after that disgraceful defeat.

Fully expecting us to be at least 3 up by half time given the strength of our team.

Ings to get a couple and Firmino with the other.

Just took a look at the team from that night - 4 of them would play in Istanbul 4 years later! Seeing a few names that escaped my mind in recent years - Gregory Vignal no less. I only ever really recall him playing for Rangers and Portsmouth a few years later. Made sporadic appearances but I can't really recall any of them seeing as it was the days before internet streams and the like. Those days in the early to mid 00s I would follow a lot of scores on ceefax (my parents only had 4 channels up until 2006!)

I'm not sure we could score 3 in a penalty shoot out :)

Check out tonights team compared to his pathetic selection for the european game a week ago.

Winning breeds confidence. If he had picked a strong team in the european game i firmly believe we would be going for 3 wins on the spin tonight.

Disappointed sturridge is not on the bench at least ... he needs the minutes ... and goals bring confidence.

Can't argue with you I always think we should play the strongest side.It then seems that players who get selected dont get injured as much.

The movement and tempo we are playing is night and day to what we've seen, I know it's a non prem team but it's a cup game so things like that can go out the window. We look really good.
