Spurs 0-0 Liverpool: In game and Post Match debate
      Oct 17, 2015 11:44:48 am

Liverpool team under Klopp's reign have arrived to London this morning

White Hart lane waiting to be crashed by Klopp

Starting XI: Mignolet, Clyne, Skrtel, Sakho, Moreno, Can, Lucas, Milner, Lallana, Coutinho, Origi

Subs: Bogdan, Toure, Allen, Ibe, Sinclair, Teixeira, Randall

Divock Origi leads the line for Liverpool at White Hart Lane this afternoon as Jürgen Klopp takes charge of his first match as manager, against Tottenham Hotspur.

The Belgian starts up front, with Philippe Coutinho and Adam Lallana in close support, as the new boss shuffles his options due to the injuries that have struck the squad.

That means two changes from the side that started the Merseyside derby before the international break, with Danny Ings and Daniel Sturridge both missing out.

The leaked team from two days ago was right, then.

A lot of energy in that team. Coutinho covers the most ground in our team and then you have Milner, Lallana, Lucas and Emre around him.

Attack needs to click. Spurs have a solid defence so far.

Really interested to see how we go. No predictions, just a lot of intrigue.

      As expected then.

      If he's going 4 2 3 1 I hope its Can/Lucas with Milly in the right.

      Knee injury Sturridge.

Sorry to be a bit brutal but I honestly don't think competitive sport is his thing.

Fantastic OP once again Clint  xxxxx:action-smiley-065:

We look a bit short of goals in the squad but if we keep it tight at the back we could just nick it.  Having said that, how excited must those lads on the bench be?  I'm talking Texeira and Sinclair obviously.

Anyway, COME ON YOU REDS  :aaliverpool2xt1: :scarf:  :scarf: :aaliverpool2xt1:

Hope Origi impresses today, a good player in there but he's really struggled with his composure in front of goal so far. Maybe some wise words from Jürgen could help him.

Not expecting much from today really, they did thrash City just a few weeks ago and with all the injuries we've got and the fact the boss has only had a few days with the whole squad, I'd happily take a point here. As Jürgen said in his interview last week, it would be 'cool' if we saw a bit of the new Liverpool today so let's hope we do!

Interesting - wonder if Studger is injured or at least not fit enough to lead the pressing game........

Team looks sh*te doesn't it? No pressure Jürgen lad.

I made a paper aeroplane once from A4 paper that was more robust than Daniel Sturridge. I've had harder Eartha Kitts than him.

He's a very attacking RB mate, has also played as RWB and RM/RW.  Basically he plays anywhere down the right  :D

      He's quick too.

We are soooo thin at the moment. Hope we get something out of this game. Hope Origi shows a side of himself we've never seen today(positive side)

Minor knee tweak. Somebody probably looked at it funny and he felt a twinge.

Daniel is literally made of glass. I like the first XI, not to forget the players he have injured.

Come on Reds, we need to fight! Klopp make them fight.

Sometimes wonder what the point in Sturridge is when he's always injured.

New found optimism on match day with Klopp though, let's hope he gets off to a winning start. Much more confident than if we were going into this game with Rodgers.

Thr manager might quite quickly start to think the same and build around Benteke.

That team is quite strong considering the injuries. up to the midfield to try and score plus, Origi could get it together for this match.
If we lose, I won't be shell shocked, Jürgen hasn't had the chance to train these players yet, but, I'm kind of expecting them having something to prove and a better attitude.
