Liverpool 1-0 Bournemouth: In game and Post Match debate
      Oct 28, 2015 06:45:03 pm

Liverpool arrived early this morning to the hotel

Starting XI: Bogdan, Clyne, Toure, Lovren, Randall, Allen, Brannagan, Teixeira, Ibe, Firmino, Origi

Subs: Fulton, Skrtel, Moreno, Lucas, Lallana, Coutinho, Sinclair

Cameron Brannagan, Connor Randall and Joao Carlos Teixeira all make their first senior starts for Liverpool in tonight's League Cup tie against Bournemouth.

The trio have been named in Jürgen Klopp’s side for the fourth round clash with the fellow Barclays Premier League outfit at Anfield.

For Brannagan and Teixeira it’s a full debut following previous substitute appearances for the Reds, while Randall earns a maiden run-out for the first team.

Elsewhere, Dejan Lovren returns from his spell out with injury to line up in defence and Roberto Firmino joins the attack alongside Jordon Ibe and Divock Origi.

      Kolo Toure captains the team.

      Nice one Clint!

Good to see plenty of youth with some more established players on the bench, a decent mix given our injury woes.

Hope to see some young 'uns impose themselves and push for more starts.

We have a few games during a short period, logical we should look to our youth players given what players are available.

      Keep the faith. ;)

Despite people's dislike of Allen, he is still a better passer than Milner, Can and Hendo, so in saying that, I am excited to see, or hope to see a midfield trio of, Allen, Brannagan and Teixeira, a midfield that'll actually play possession football.

Anybody can pass 5 yards. Glad to see Randall, Tex and Brannagan get some game time.

Right young Reds this is your chance to show Jürgen what you can do, it doesn't have to be exemplary or even outstanding, just prove you can be relied upon when needed and more chances will follow.

Should be a nice open game this, wish I was watching it but I'm Mum sitting tonight and there's no sky tv here  >:(

Let's do this lads  :scarf: :kop5cf8koxp6: :kop5cf8koxp6: :scarf:

To be more specific, Allen keeps the ball ticking better than Can, Milner and Hendo, and on top of that, more composed/calm when under pressure.

Only worry for me in that midfield would be the physical presence/steel, but other than that, I'm excited to see what Brannagan and Tex can offer.

He is better passer than Can. Certainly not Hendo and probably not Milner.

Great OP Clint, much better than the Saints match  ;)  ;D,

Very excited to see Tex, Branagan and Randall, like Debs said don't expect them to steal the show just do their jobs and do it well, plenty of experience in the mix so I'm expecting us to be in the draw for the next round, interesting to see how Lovren fairs too,

I hope Origi gets on the scoresheet for his confidence, a lot of pressure on the young lad but given time I think he be very good, Bournemouth won't be easy, they'll be well organised and will pose a threat, still, I think we will win this but it will be tight,

      2-1 Mighty Reds
