Couthino has his head up his arse for some reason get this lad on he will not let us down his first touch is sublime

Exactly mate, Coutinho has been garbage all season, there's no reason why Tex can't grab the shirt off him.

I'm gutted for Ings, think Klopp will love him, he's the kind of hardworking player he likes, you know you'll get %100 commitment from Ings, he's like a Dog with a bone.

We dominated that game, was much much better and we deserved a few more goals, it's still all moving in the right direction, now let's beat those chav bas**rds at the weekend and get Maureen sacked!

I'm genuinely buzzing that Tex has finally been given a start after so long. It's a shame Brendan felt the need to leave him out of the Europa squad.

Bit disappointed we didn't keep the 1-1's going but I'll settle for the win I suppose.

Firmino my MoM but could have give it to Tex just as easy.

Feeling positive and encouraged after tonight's game and a win is just what the manager needed.

Gave MotM to Firmino but Tex ran him close. What a shame that Lucas' shot was more or less straight at the keeper. Nearly a lovely goal for him.

      Onwards and upwards.

I don't get why they have to delay the draw, why not just say Man Utd or Middlesbrough in the draw?

Is Eddie Howe pissed? He wanted a penalty for that?!

I usually like him but he sounds so much like Brendan in this interview.

We need a win at Chelsea for our season to take off. If we can keep Benteke fit until Jan when we can get some players in then all will be to play for.

What the F**k is this feeling? A win and a clean sheet?! :o

Good enough performance. Bogdan and Firmino looked good. Tex and Brannagan solid.

      Randall had a poor game.

      On to the next round!

Anyone not seeing the positives after this truly are blind. You need to forget about players like Allen and Origi when assessing it because they're clearly not the future (although Klopp giving Allen and Origi all the encouragement in the world at the end of the game, wasn't that f**king awesome?!)

Bogdan: Brilliant, showed Migs how it should be done to be honest. Came out sweeping, caught the ball when it was his to claim and when called upon with a few shots kept them out, really was a great display that might go without the credit it deserves. Honestly would start him ahead of Migs without question.

Clyne: What a performance lad, looks a natural out there, actually thought he was much better than he is at RB, really would love to see him starting there for us. Even though Moreno has been decent enough Clyne looked brilliant, until we've got an option at RB (not Randall) then we wont have the choice.

Lovren: Some terrible stuff with some decent, not good enough.

Toure: Did well and gutted for his injury.

Randall: Not good enough to be starting, didn't really see much to take encouragement, sorry young fella.

Allen: Got better in the second half but still not close to good enough to be starting, exposes the CBs not confident enough on the ball, not for me.

Brannagan: Broke up play occasionally but didn't offer enough for the position he was starting in, keep trying lad.

Teixeira: Awesome, been waiting a long time to see him starting for us and he didn't disappoint. His movement out there was superb, unlucky not to score, but his interplay with Clyne was mouthwatering. Oozes quality though, has that extra yard of space that all good players do, really enjoyed it and brought a smile to my face watching him play which hasn't happened with too many players for us recently.

Firmino: Class, pure class, nearly 90 minutes under his belt too so much to take out of that game that was positive it's not worth trying to narrow it down. Everything he did, pressing, interplay, movement, truly exceptional.

Ibe: Looked so much better today, his decision making and calmness on the ball was exactly what he needs, keep that up Jordon and there's a chance you could work your way into the side. Really did give us that width we've been missing.

Origi: One or two good moments, so his best game I've seen from him, best leave it there.

Lucas: Did really well when he came on, unlucky not to score and cracking pressing.

      Skrtel: Looked the usual Skrts.

Lallana: Wasn't really on long enough to make a true impact.

Klopp: Love him, his reactions, the substitutions the way he handled the lads afterwards, haven't been this happy as a red fan in a long, long time, cheers Jürgen!

Very good summary. Firmino was the standout, but Tex wasn't far behind and Bogdan looked really solid!! Think all 3 of them will have played themselves into contention to start against the Chavs. 1st win of the Klopp era..... let's make it a habit!!

It irritated me so much. Coming out with the usual bollocks of playing great but not being lucky enough to get the goal etc.

      Loved Klopp's interview.  Very honest.

And yeah - Eddie Howe grabbing for a penalty took me a bit by surprise.  Fella has had such a stellar rise that he shouldn't stoop to the small time bit.  That would have been a very very harsh penalty.  They definitely got shafted by the officials at Anfield in the League but not tonight.

      Bogdan - 8

      Randall - 6.5
      Toure - N/A
      Lovren - 6.5
      Clyne - 7

      Brannagan - 6.5
      Allen - 6.5
      Teixeira - 7

      Ibe - 6.5
      Origi - 4
      Firmino - 7.5

      Subs:

      Skrtel - 6.5
      Lucas - 7
      Lallana - N/A

Overall a decent performance, Bogdan was superb, Clyne got forward well and scored the decisive goal.

Teixeira was confident and went close to scoring a couple of times.

Firmino looked sharper and a big threat. Less can be said for Origi, maybe he's lacking confidence?

Lucas came on and looked a class above, again.

Special mention for Randall and Brannagan who both did very well.
