Only just got around now to watching the game.  Christ they are sh*te aren't they.  How is that even possible, to go from winning the league to looking so feckless the next season?  maybe the league was just that terrible last season.

Watching the game though, especially that first half, the connection between both frauds, Mourinho and Rodgers, was so apparent.  Does everyone remember a few seasons back, we went to Arsenal, and scored an early goal at the Emirates?  we were totally bossing the game, they were on the back foot, Luis and Sturridge were running them ragged.  But what happened after we scored?  Rodgers had us park the bus.  Liverpool Football Club.  Parking the bus, up at Arsenal.  We could've twatted them 5-0 that day, but instead we parked the bus and of course they ended up scoring and we didn't get the win.  All because Rodgers brought a small time mentality to our club.

Chelsea did the same thing.  They scored, and this time it was even worse---they were at HOME, and parked the bus.  After scoring.  It was like watching that Arsenal match all over again.  And yet it made total sense.  Rodgers did in that Arsenal game what he learned from Mourinho when he was under him.  Rodgers got found out for the fraud he was and now Mourinho is getting found out too.  Thankfully both will be gone soon.

Oh and it really is shocking how many people have a go at Coutinho when he goes a couple of games without being totally dominant.  He is far and away our best AND our most important player.  It's an insult that he's not the highest paid player at the club.  Hopefully we rectify that soon so that he'll stick around for many years to come.

Isn't it just as shocking then when you have a go at Henderson (our captain) at every single opportunity too then even though he contributes quite a bit for his position?

Its still Brendan\committees players that are doing that wee bit better under klopp.

Early days folk, the signs we were getting better were there under Rodgers, but the club sensed he had lost the fans, and the chance of getting klopp was obv. too big to pass up.

We don't need to slag Rodgers anymore please.

Let's juts enjoy this mini revival and hope we keep progressing.

Brendan might be levels below Klopp but calling him a Fraud is just totally unwarranted. The way everyone sees it, LFC extracted the maximum out of a young manager, there was no more left in him to propel us higher and rightly was shown the door.

But he at least found a way, a quick way, to propel us up from 7th to 2nd BEFORE all that monstrous spending. We might have fallen back "quickly" again but the reasons for that fall are a combination of a hell lot of factors. You may not like him but the least you can do is cut the man some slack.

Yeah agree with that.  Not necessary to lay the boot into him like that.  He was manager of our club when we had a real world class talent and to his credit he optimised the team perfectly to play to the strengths of that talent.  Some managers may well have stuck 'to the system' and it may not have got us so close that season.

Rodgers problem was when Suarez went he couldn't transition the side and lost his way and belief in a plan.  Completely right that Liverpool got rid of him but it's probably not right that people continue to harbour such feelings of anger with him.  Onwards!

F**k sake - let it go. Your obsessions with Rodgers is sad bordering on dark.

Besides, thought you'd be at the game? Pretty miserable 90 minutes for you besides those first 5.

While I agree there is no need to run the man down anymore he's gone we move on , and we are , but to say the signs were there that we were improving under BR is laughable we were getting progressively worse with each passing game , last goinf off under him we were playing some truly shocking football , but thsnk fck itz over .

Must confess I find the constant references in a negative way to the previous manager totally unnecessary. When you look at us almost winning the league, and even then coming 6th having lost Suarez to transfer and Sturridge to injury, my guess is history will look at his spell at Liverpool in a far better light than "fraud". We played the majority of last season without a credible striker, none, and even this season given our fixtures it wasn't a disaster.

Is Klopp an improvement? Definitely, am I glad we've got him? Absolutely. That said, Klopp is one of if not THE brightest managers in the World right now, so I'm just pinching myself and rejoicing that we've got him rather than taking it as proof that Brendan Rodgers is sh!t.

Benteke isn't as good as Suarez, but it doesn't mean he's sh!te. People ought to let their anger go and rejoice in the fact we've got a manager who ALL of us are proud of.

The players are Liverpool players, just as Klopp is the Liverpool manager responsible for those players.

Should we forget his words, about getting behind the players (ALL of them), about giving them confidence and about all being together, so soon?

"Committee signing", "BR signing" and all the other bollocks is just glorified guessing to create an issue where none exists.

They are all Klopps players now, and he has stated he is happy with them, end of story.

We'll see soon enough who he wants to keep and who he wants to move on.

I think you could talk positively about all of the lads if you want to because when you destroy Chelsea at Stamford bridge they must have done something right. Delighted with Benteke two goals in two games what more can the man do.

      Hahaha

Yeah mate, it was such a refreshing change and the manner of the victory, come from behind totally dominant for almost all the game really was a tonic for most of us I think.

The confidence among the fans has sky rocketed, we just need to be careful and mindful to realise there will be bumps along the road.

The other "fraud" btw is current champion of this league, and won it twice more to boot. That's what you should have "found out" by now.

I do remember that night at Arsenal where we got a point. I also remember a more recent night at Arsenal where we got another point, with a clean sheet to boot, which may prove invaluable come the end of the year.

Oh dear god we are not going to have this conversation again are we.

Coutinho is about a million times the player Henderson will ever be, both in terms of quality and consistency.

I don't know how he's a pundit saying Liverpool will be Chelseas easiest game. He's obviously just trying to provoke Liverpool for no obvious reason. The guy must have nothing good to do in his  spare time.

Under former boss Brendan Rodgers, Liverpool consistently failed to beat the top teams—in six games against Chelsea as Reds boss, Rodgers suffered three defeats and three draws, per This Is Anfield.
Indeed, Rodgers oversaw just 5 wins from 25 attempts against Manchester City, Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United.

As per your stats ... lest we forget Luke.

A fantastic result and a decent performance. I said in the first page of the pre match thread that they were there for the taking as their confidence is rock bottom at the moment.

Paul Merson is a gobs***e saying that will be Chelsea's easiest fixture this month. It will be ours actually, dick head.

Anyway back to the game, we controlled it start to finish. As predicted they looked short in confidence and we looked like we were there to win. Coutinho clear motm for his goals but special mentions to Lucas who I thought was brilliant and also Skrtel who I don't rate highly but I thought he was a rock on Saturday.

Couple of tough games coming up. Get the points and keep the momentum going reds.

Was a piss poor goal for us to concede and it was the same players at fault as recent games. But we responded well and didn't look as though the players had resigned themselves to not turning it around. Vast improvement and a win like this can really kick start your season, despite Chelsea being in terrible form because form often goes out the window in games like these.

The way Costa stuck his studs into Skrtel when they were on the ground was cowardly and worthy of a red card I thought.

The way Skrtel got up, gave him a mouthful and got on with the game was fantastic. The commentator remarked how Skrtel was the bigger man because of it. I have to totally agree.   Well done Martin!    and Costa   you will get yours one day you gutless sh*t
