Great Performance 2,500 miles away from home, every blade of grass covered.

Thought Benteke was a right thorn in their back 4
      Sahko's distribution was brilliant.
Moreno & Clyne ran their socks off.
First time this season i've seen Ibe run central towards the box, head down, with pace and intention..took his goal really well and had a couple of other chances to wrap it up.

Once again we made the opposition look normal..

I reckon we've got a great chance of winning this group !!

I thought we were great tonight, far away from home on a sh*te pitch. It's good to be taking this competition seriously, which is what we looked tonight - serious about our business. A second goal would have been nice to make it more comfortable towards the end but all in all, a good performance and a good win.

Jordan Ibe my MotM. He played as we know he can tonight.

      Why not that final?
I would love it, even more with a Dortmund win. :-)

He's like a little kid isn't he, so infectious. Absolutely love the guy, everything is just so right.

Now you start to recognize why the Borussia Dortmund supporters were fascinated by this man so deeply.
It´s wonderful to see how he spreads his love for the game and for the players around Liverpool FC.
Because this great club and you great supporters really deserve it!

Thats what I thought too Huyton.  Very much an old school Liverpool away from home performance, but with plenty of room for improvement.  I watched it in the Albert, on Lark Lane, and there were quite a few fans in there.  You could hear the appreciation from the fans.

Controlled the game and in a short space of time you can see that we look more assured and confident.

That was an excellent performance from the team! Really confident and controlled passing - been A LONG TIME since we saw that!

I'd say not since our famous victory in Trabzonspor  :f_tongueincheek:

      Very good performance that.

Given that it was played on a typical bobbly cow pat field the team made light work of that surface. Special mention to the ref who I thought was excellent - it's not often I congratulate a ref's performance but I thought he reffed the game really well.

From the first whistle, we played with purpose and bossed Kazan about on their cow paddock. I don't think there were stand-out performers but every player pulled their weight and put in a really good collective shift. They worked for each other, and they had the bit between their teeth in that respect. I thought, for a player who gets a lot of stick, because he was made VC and was signed by Rodgers, that Milner's effort was worth a special mention. He covered a lot of ground and made a good block/interception in his own box, and clipped the cross-bar in the oppositions. I think this typified his game, he was all over the place - still made the needless fouls and lacked the quality that would really make a difference to his contribution but he did do a good job tonight.

Lovren, another player that I have been underwhelmed by looked pretty confident too. He didn't have much to do in the first half in fairness as we dominated to such an extent that Mignolet was on the half-way-line at times. But he looked more composed and playing alongside Sahko looked more comfortable.

All in all, a very good, typical professional performance in a "European" backwater - job well done!

EDIT: must add, Ibe's goal was really well taken, and the lad had a decent game over all.

So, just finished watching the game. First thing I'd like to do is applaud their back line and keeper, it was excellent, a little last ditch at times and inspired at times as well.  It's  something I wish we, as a fan base, would do more often, praise the opposition, when they deserve it.

On to our lot, as a team tonight, we were a collective seven, I think you could mark a couple of players down as sixes, but I don't think a player deserved higher than a seven.  As an aside, Milner isn't one I thought was a 6.

I do think that a few players do need to be talked about though, starting with our full backs.  Clyne, after a little dip, is making that spot his own, gets up and down that touchline superbly and Moreno, he is starting to look like a footballer.  If these two start adding some end product, some better crosses and to be fair both had a couple of decent ones tonight, mouthwatering doesn't begin to cover it.  Ibe had a performance that could be the making of him, it wasn't spectacular, but it was industrious and showed a huge jump in form in a short space of time.  The fact that this was against a highly rated left back does him no harm either.  Finally, though I think we could talk about positives for all our players, I'd like to talk about something that isn't so positive, concerning Joe Allen.  In no way did he have a bad game, but on quite a few occasions, he left us open by pressing on his own, leaving gaps and more than once, I saw Klopp, on my stream, castigate Allen for this, clearly telling him not to solo press.  Whether this was Allen being over eager and wanting to impress or him just not getting how Klopp wants him to play, it's something he has going to have to sort out quickly.  For me, this team performance was even better than against Chelsea.

Delighted with the result and performance. Felt we could have scored 1 or 2 more but we won and played very so I'm not going to complain. He's only been in charge 4 weeks and you can see the difference already the thought of what we'll be like after 4 months under Klopp really excites me.

Ibe took his goal brilliantly and hopefully this is the start of a little scoring run for him. Onwards and upwards from here lads! Bring on Crystal Palace this weekend!

The thing that's impressed me most the last few games is that we don't look overly reliant on any one player. Everyone is buying into Klopp's philosophy and we are actually playing like a team again!!!

Good performance. Good result. We go again :)

Once more it is a delight to watch a Liverpool team that wants to win and attack the opposition from the first whistle to the last. I made Ibe my man of the match  and he thoroughly deserved it. Once more we can look forward to European matches and feel proud with the effort put in. Well done my Liverpool Lads.

Made Sakho my motm as I believe all good away wins in Europe start at the back , thats taking nothing away from Ibe,  but as has been proved all the goals in the world will win you fck all unless you defend right , Sakho has stepped right up for me .
