Not sure about this one.  If he's so great why isn't he starting for Barca?

I agree with a lot of what you say Fed, but that start to you post is a little off - would you not want someone like Sanchez in the team?

This lad has, as you say made some high profile errors, but that fact that he is at Barca and on the bench at 23 tells me there is something with this lad.

Also, I have no problem taking a 'second string' player who is great and making him a first teamer. This is what we used to do and it worked out pretty well then...

Some glaring errors in big games but you could chop his left arm off and he'd still be better than Mignolet.

From what I've seen of Ter Stegen he is a big upgrade on Simon.

Suarez should have been valued by us at a 150 mill, they got him for 75 mill, time to repay the favour, you cheap Barca cu*ts!

They also got Mascherano for £17m after we paid £17m for him and he turned into arguably the best DM in the world.

I wouldn't be against paying 20m for him, I think he's damn good and has the potential to be one of the best. Would be shocked if we got him tbh.

We should go for quality over quantity this winter/summer and Ter Stegen would be a huge huge signing to start this off.

Did Ayre leave for Barcelona as was rumoured? Echo reporting we want him this month with Bogdan leaving.

      Bogdan is leaving?!

If we are really after ter Stegen, it is a masterstroke of a decision from Klopp to give Mignolet a 5-yr deal and make him the #2, so even if we sell, we get a bit more than we got him for!

Ter Stegen, R.Rodriguez, Pjanic, A.Teixiera with Sturridge and Ings fit = PL, or at the very least, runners up :)

Is right, if the defence don't have confidence in the keeper then what's the point. They are all one defensive unit ultimately.
Yep that's why the whole defence falls to bits with him between the sticks he gives them no confidence . They should be complimenting each other but in this case the sh*t runs down their legs .

Barca will not sell him as they view Marc as their future no.1, they would rather sell Bravo than him.

We should go all in for Bernd Leno, and have Karius as a back-up if Leverkusen are refusing to sell him, but i doubt that for around 17-18 mil pounds they won't sell.

Marc-Andre ter Stegen to Liverpool: Reds 'have £10m bid rejected' as Barcelona want for £20m for goalkeeper

It’s claimed that Liverpool have already moved for Ter Stegen with a £10m bid, but were rebuffed by the Catalan side who would be unwilling to let the goalkeeper leave unless the Reds double their offer.

If this is true, wtf? Just pay the 20m!!!

Is he a 20m keeper? Couldn't we get Butland for that?

How do you forecast that? Bravo has been nothing short of immense for a couple of seasons.

Ter Stegen is too good to be #2. Their B team GK Masip has earned good respect having come through the academy. I dont see the German sticking around for a long time, just like the Cech-Courtios situation. We could try our luck before other CL teams make their first bid.

Ricardo Rodriguez would be a seriously expensive addition; the TC should be looking into Jonas Hector of FC Koln, who is flying under the radar but is a consistent performer.

All the names you've mentioned bar the two already in our squad and well-known and hyped up, and clubs all over Europe would love to have them. If we don't start scouting smarter and looking outside the ranks of established clubs we are going to stay in the mire of overpaying for under performers.
