Apparently admitted to hospital in Bournemouth this morning. No details as of yet as to his condition, but best wishes from me to one of the finest players ever to wear our shirt. Get well soon Graeme.

Definately. Not our best manager although not the worst either (step forward Roy) but an absolutely legendary player. The very best of his generation in terms of midfield players.

Don't remember much of Souness as a footballer, other than what I've saw in videos, but it's clear that he was a beast of a player and a true legend.
I remember being very happy with his appointment as manager, another member of the boot room, and even though I hated Rangers, the success he achieved with them made me believe he could carry on the success we were having a Liverpool. His anti sectarian attitude endeared him to me also.
I was pretty pissed off with him for the players he brought to the club, I mean Julian Dicks? What the F**k was that about?
But that's in the past, and I wish him nothing but the best.
      Get well soon Graham.

Great player and Captain, in his seven years at Liverpool we won five League Championships, three European Cups and four League Cups, and if we had signed him earlier in the season rather than after Christmas it would have been 6 League Championships!

I know the sh*t rag affair kind of tainted him with some but I will always respect and appreciate Souness, loved him as our player, captain and still support him because he has our club at heart.

Read this extract from Simon Hughes interview with Souness.

      http://www.theanfieldwrap.com/2016/03/graeme-souness-where-it-all-went-wrong-for-me-at-liverpool/

      Amazing.

Open and brutally honest about himself during his managerial stint here, and surprisingly humble. Offers absolutely no excuses for that Sun interview and expresses genuine remorse, while his never say die aggression and passion really does hit home in the current bunch of players who have been deemed weak minded, while making you sympathise with working under the batch of prima donnas who played under his tenure.

He's been through the highs and lows with the Liverpool fanbase and the man is one of the most fascinating individuals to have ever played for us. His brutal honesty about his flawed characteristics and honest mistakes about his time as manager in addition to his never-say-die attitude towards the club that he still loves makes him perhaps the most intriguing player to have ever played for us.

Fiercely independent, strong willed and outfought every player and came out the other side winning. While we may have had better players, there's no doubt in my mind that he was the greatest leader to have ever graced the field in a Liverpool shirt. He'd no doubt be my captain in the all time Liverpool XI.

So one of my favourite pundits retiring. Sad to see him go I really am. Loved it when he was on with Keane. Great player in his day. Proper Norman Hunter this lad. I wish him well.
