Love that pass from Emre for Danny's second goal.  Great skill, of which I think we will see a lot more. Sturridge, fantastic.

Absolutely fantastic and so much fun watching him develop in his correct position now. I think that time spent at RB will have actually set him backwards, he began to, visibly, lose confidence in himself and he's now looking back to the player he was before. One of those players that exudes a bit of arrogance and self-believe that intimidates and I personally think we lack that type of character in the team so to get him firing on all cylinders will be superb for us and him.

Joe Allens wasn't too Shabby for the first either .

Ibe's goal was very similar to a piece of play vs Swansea. A cross from Moreno into the same sort of area to Ibe but unfortunately he slipped vs Swansea as he controlled it but it was virtually identical. Maybe something they've been working on?

We're making good teams look bad and it's been done with a team that was all but given up on . And to look at the bench and have no concerns is a major boost , we're coming out of injuries "tip wood" at the right time as well . Exciting times ahead .

      Couldn't agree more mate.

It's going to be tough because getting through in the Europa and the League Cup obviously makes fixtures mount up, which of course is a good thing but when we hit a bump or two in the road because of it I just hope people don't over-react.

Clearing the injury list while not picking up any more is vital and tonight was a nice step in that direction with Sturridge looking lively if a little rusty and getting an hour or so under his belt. (his movement was fantastic, exactly what we need in this team) Hendo getting 15 minutes was a bonus and just those little things while not picking up anything else are turning things around from looking very bleak (in terms of injuries) to slightly encouraging.

As you said the bench tonight looked strong, something we haven't had in recent weeks, just need a bit of lady luck now to keep the lads safe "tip wood" as you say. ;D

Joe Allen had a very good game too, 'for sure'!  Love goals 2 and 3 from Divock.  Jordan Ibe proved he can score too.

Well, we've got what we all wanted now, goals from a range of players.  Get Jordan Henderson scoring and Lallana to and there is no limit.  Throw Big Ben in to the mix and thats some mix. Oh almost forgot Cout and Firmino.

16 years since we stuffed hem 7-1 at Anfield, nearly matched that scoreline tonight but can't complain at 6-1.

Only listened to the first 10 on the radio then I was so busy I managed avoid the score until the highlights.

      Talk about a surprise!

Delighted to see that and it looked a performance every bit as good as the score line.

Yeah that was a good decision to take Studge off at 60 , he's a F***ing awesome goal scorer when he's on top of his game and if Klopp can rest him like that it would be excellent for his fitness . I'm now looking forward to the Nukie game with excitement , 2 months ago i'd be shitting it, how things have changed .

I think the MOTM poll is the most difficult I've ever participated in. Should have had an option for 'All of the above' :D

voted for Origi although I could have given it to anyone of the lads. Having another striker with Sturridge back as well is such a massive boost .

Emre Can - two incidents tonight.

      1) He couldn't stop a Southampton attack and wasn't quick enough to close down the cross that led to their first goal.
      2) He does a magical step over and then fires in a spectacular defence splitting through ball with the outside of his right foot.

Our previous manager played him as a right sided centre back.

Our new manager plays him as a central midfielder with the ability to push on.

I just typed a long winded post as to why I chose Lallana as MOTM and my WiFi dropped.

So basically, we had a lot of lads who were boss tonight but Lallana was more boss because he was boss for every second on the pitch, every touch, every challenge, every yard. All this amid a sea of boos for his every movement. Get in Adam lad.

      ADAM LALLANA HE'S WINNING 4-1.
      ADAM LALLANA HE'S WINNING 5-1.
      ADAM LALLANA HE'S WINNING 6-1.

To be fair mate it was a two way street, a lot of the players had lost faith in Brendan and I think a few of them would have sold him too given half a chance. :)

Voted  Allen motm, not just on his performance, but on his improvement. Looked a different player out there tonight, confident, positive and forward thinking instead of the usual sideways passing. 9.5/10 everyone else 9/10

Did not see the match but got the score off the motel manager were we are staying. When he said we won 6-1 my wife thought he was taking the piss.We went into the motel unit, turned on the tele and sure enough we had won 6-1 and get to play Stoke in the semi final. It was good to see Origi and  Sturridge get 5 goals between them and hopefully this will fill them full of confidence for the rest of the season.
