      Fergie worried about Klopp

Something a bit more positive today perhaps?

Ferguson: Jürgen Klopp is class - I'm worried about him

Former United boss says German is going to 'make a big difference' at Liverpool

Jürgen Klopp’s impact at Liverpool is becoming a worry to Manchester United – according to Sir Alex Ferguson.

The former Manchester United manager was speaking this morning at the TechCrunch event in London alongside Sir Michael Moritz, the head of Sequoia Capital.

Asked by Moritz about Klopp, Ferguson said: “I’m worried about him – the one thing United don’t want is to have Liverpool above us.

“He’s got a fantastic personality, he’s got that great confidence in himself. Even I noticed in yesterday’s game when they lost the second goal he went across to Steve McClaren and congratulated him – it’s class that, it’s class.

“He’s got a great personality, his big white teeth are always showing, he’s enjoying it. The work he did at Dortmund – I know him quite well actually from the coaching seminars we have, I got a text from him the other day actually.

“He’s going to make a difference at that club, absolutely no doubt about it. He’s got the personality, he’s got the drive, he’s got the knowledge, he’s got great presence about him, I think things will look up there, no doubt about it.”

Ferguson also spoke about Gary Neville and said the Sky pundit had come to his house before deciding to take the Valencia job.

He said it was typical of Neville’s courage and determination that he had taken on the challenge of managing the Spanish team as his first job on management.

He also said managers who bring players from their former club can often be making a mistake, with the new club often being at a higher level than the club he has left.

Ferguson also revealed how he could have become the Barcelona manager, after he was recommended by Terry Venables when he was at Aberdeen, and a later approach by Inter Milan.

And he even had advice for Roman Abramovich over Jose Mourinho: “ There’s no point in sacking one of the best coaches of all-time. It would be foolish to take that step of sacking him.”

Klopp is media gold at the moment.
Fergie is only talking about him because it guarantees space in the papers.

Typical F***ing Sky reaction when this was aired yesterday morning, making out like it was virtually impossible for us to overtake them.  Dozy cu*ts still don't realise they're only 1 title ahead of us, we're still ahead on overall trophies won and we're miles ahead of them on European trophies  :lmao:

If only football didn't exist before Sky and the Premier League

Ferguson's a desperate attention seeker who talks sh*te (remember, he wants us to now believe that Moyes was only his 5th choice - and that Gary Neville will be a feat manager... despite saying he was thick as mince in his autobiography).

He'll forever have a gripe on him that he couldn't win 3 European Cups unlike Paisley, who did it in a spell that was only a third of the length that Ferguson managed Utd.
