My analysis:

Everybody = Dog sh*t.

Rays of light? Brad Smith doing a job and Hendo and Cou returning.

Looks like we played for a draw and got our point.

Positives Hendo managed over an hour and Coutinho got a run out.

Brad Smith looked good and Origi was decent.

1) We're already through.
2) A nil nil draw and Sion are through.
3) We lack a cutting edge and are playing on what is effectively a very narrow pitch.
4) Even the part of the pitch that isn't visibly frosty looks poor and players can't get enough grip.


So, we've topped the group and didn't pick up anymore injuries. Result, if dull.

Big plus, Smith looks to have potential. Needs some time on a decent pitch against an opposition that wants to play to really judge though.

My man of the match has to go Mignolet there for the simple reason that I can't remember anything that actually happened but judging by the score line he got a clean sheet.

Sion were made up at the final whistle there.  Seems both sides knew the score.  Part of the pitch being frozen suggests to me foul play.

But anyway, let's face it - couple of games into this group we looked like we weren't getting through.  Ended up qualifying with a game to spare.

God that was boring

Highlight of the night: Coutinho coming on even though I didn't want him to on that pitch.

2 lowlights: waking up at 4:45 am for that sh*t and secondly their Number 10 Mohammed Salah look a like, will be playing for the Chavs next season, anytime one our lads went near him, he fell down like a bag of sh*t.
