      Exeter v Liverpool F.A Cup 3rd Round Friday 8th Jan 19:55KO
      Jan 06, 2016 10:30:14 am
Looks like we will have to play a mixture of youth and experience against Exeter on Friday.

With numerous injuries and playing showing signs of fatigue, it's likely we will make plenty of changes.

With Toure potetionally being our only fit Centre Back, will he start along side Lucas or Can? Or will Klopp bring someone up from the U21's?

      I'm expecting something like this:

      Bogdan

      Randall
      Toure
      Lucas
      Smith

      Milner (c)
      Allen
      Brannagan

      Ibe
      Benteke
      Lallana

Subs: Fulton; Cleary, Enrique; Emre Can, Chirivella; Kent; Sinclair.

Exeter will definitely be up for this, but I think we will win 3-0.

Apart from Milner and Allen I don't want yo see a single first team player on the team sheet for this.

Allen hasn't played much football this season and Milly is coming back from injury and could do with the minutes.

What has happened to Tex? Why is he not being played?

I thought he looked really good in the one game he played.

Can see Flanno starting this, he has 2x u21 games under his belt now.

Id play an u21s CB with kolo if fit.

And I would give Enrique a start as a farewell (if he really is going to leave), play Smith ahead of him at RW.

Nothing has been confirmed as of yet mate. I'd expect something to be announced in the next couple of days.

I'd say start with Migs, possibly Kolo, Allen, Milner and Benteke and make up the numbers with Flanno (maybe 1 half) Randell, Smith, Enrique at CB (he played his last u21 game at CB), Tex, Kent, Sinclair (next to Benteke).

      Is that 11?

Brannagan could get a look in somewhere seeing as Tex seems to be out of favour but he doesn't have the experience of Tex.

What a pity Allans work permit hasn't been sorted, this game would be perfect for him.

Ilori isn't fit regardless of whether he can be recalled.

Think we'll stick with Lucas-Kolo pairing, with Randall and Smith coming in

      Bogdan
      Randall-Lucas-Toure-Smith
      Milner-Allen
      Tex-Brannagan-Ibe

I'd just play the U21 team and have Benteke etc on the bench if needed. We really can't risk any more injuries to first teamers.

The back 4 should be interesting.
Would expect to get past these though, should have enough quality going forward.
Would I play Benteke even against Exeter ... probably, if only to rest Firmino.

               Mignolet
      Clyne Toure Lucas Smith
             Can Rossiter
      Milner Texiera Lallana
             Benteke

Remember when these guys drew 0-0 with Man Utd in the FA Cup 3rd round at Old Trafford 11 years ago? A certain Alex Inglethorpe managed them on that occasion.

Oh yeah and remember that time Michael Jackson became an honorary director of the club thanks to his equal in the fruitcake ranks Uri Geller? F***ing mental.

Goes without saying, but DON'T SCREW UP.

These kind of flukey matches always make me more nervous than if we were to play Spurs or Arsenal or someone. There's going to be so much expectation on us to not only win, but to do it in a very impressive style.

If Tex doesn't get a game you can slam shut his career at LFC.

I'd be tempted to play an entire youth side.  I honestly would.

We're struggling to find enough first team players for an FA Cup game in January and we're still in all 4 competitions.

And who knows a few of the youngsters may take their chance.

Agree but you just know the FA would probably try and throw us out or something.

The only upside is that with all out injuries Jürgen can easily select a decent amount of kids without getting to much questioning.

Liverpool FC FA Cup opponents Exeter City in classy tribute to Hillsborough victims
Liverpool FC’s FA Cup opponents Exeter City have shown their class after printing a 96-page matchday programme in tribute to the Hillsborough victims.

The Grecians’ gesture was today praised by Hillsborough campaign groups and Reds fans.

Exeter’s programme is usually 82-pages long but club bosses decided to increase it to 96 pages for Friday night’s third round tie.

Oliver Roderick, Exeter City media manager, said: “This was always going to be a larger edition and we couldn’t think of a more fitting tribute then making it 96 pages.

“We have already received huge orders for it.”

The match programme will be available from ticket booths and spots around St James Park before the game.

The Hillsborough Justice Campaign tweeted “Lovely gesture from @OfficialECFC – thank you.”

Reds fan Tommy Anderson wrote: “Well done Exeter on the idea of 96 pages in the programme for Friday night #touchofclass”

A total of 96 people were killed during an FA Cup semi-final match between Liverpool and Nottingham Forest at Hillsborough on 15 April 1989.

An inquest into the deaths was reopened in March last year and jurors heard the final day of evidence yesterday.

The court, in Birchwood Park, Warrington, has been adjourned until January 25th when the coroner Sir John Goldring will begin summing up the evidence.
