Edit: Apologies, can a kind mod amend the title of the thread. Should have said QPR. Cheers.

Article. would have done properly but I'm late and on phone:

Good player, would prefer him to Skrtel next to Lovren/Sakho.

Not a good player. Hasn't made the cut in his career wherever he has been. Prefer him to Skrtel? No chance.

We've apparently signed him on a season long loan!

Just another body in case of another injury crisis at the back.

      Otherwise he is pretty sh*te.

One of them players with all the tools but not the ability. He's pacey enough but he's a bit of a liability. He doesn't have the desire of someone like a Carra or a Terry to keep the ball out of his net.

His positioning is terrible too. Most of the time during the game against us he should have been in certain positions to cut plays out but he was all over the place.

      Caulker?
      Nice.

Signing Klopp and not getting him the right players is like having Alonso and Button and giving them a Honda engine.

FSG showing truly massive ambition here. Jürgen might as well clean his boots and play himself

Come on lads. They even gave Kenny money to splash in January when they came to the club. If Caulker is the only viable option on loan i would imagine a lot of the other options aren't available.

Why are Xabi Alonso and David Button driving Keisuke Honda around?

The idea will be to get a player in who will be happy to play from the bench once everyone is fit. The only players who will move under those conditions is a player who isn't getting game time at a lower club.

He looked good couple years back when he was on loan at Swansea and a few times I saw him play with Spuds.

Didn't see him at all last season but from what I hear he was sh*te for QPR.

So maybe he isn't as good as I thought he was.

Chill out we're signing this guy as cover so we don't have to spend on a new CB as we're getting Matip on a free in the summer!

Caulkers a stop gap, and not the worst cover to have. If Lovren and Sakho are fit he won't even play!

If he were that good a player, why is he struggling for game time?
Wouldn't top teams be be all over him?
I suggest he's not good enough for QPR so they let him go out on loan. He isn't good enough for his current Saints team hence amount of games played.

#LFC want Steven Caulker in time to face Arsenal - and may even train with Reds today
