Caulker isn't exactly Alan Hansen, but he isn't a bad player by any means. My only misgivings are about his extra curricular activities, and I aren't guessing or basing my assessment on Daily Mail stories here either.

Tut tut tut, isn't that landlord / client privilege? ;D

Is he better than our current CB's ? Who knows in the long run.

Is he better than our current CB's now? YES because they are all injured.

Makes sense to me this does as another poster has said if Lucas is the back up then we are in trouble.

He's absolutely shocking. Positionally even worse than Skrtel. Not great on the ball and by all accounts a sh*te attitude to match. We've really outdone ourselves here. Don't care that it's only on loan, he's a terrible defender.

have we come to this as a club.no Striker with the name available and no CB's either so we go to the championship to seek a loan.
Its mind-blowingly poor management by the club and you can blame whoever you want but we are in a terrible mess as we find ourselves in the middle of a really important part of the season. How can a CB from a poor championship side possible be considered as an option and worse as a loan deal.

#LFC complete the signing of Steven Caulker on loan until the end of the season

That's the point that I believe it's rubbered stamped mate, yeah.

Seems like he might even make his debut for us tomorrow, scary sh*t.

Yeah he's a threat. Only issue is he's a threat at both ends.

You'd rather we signed him permanently then?

Or buy a player the manager isn't filly convinced by just for the sake of it?

so your one of the mediocrity signings are ok then as long as he is still breathing. We should not be in this position as a club we have an academy and we have a scouting system and we end up with Caulker.

Well, Sky were reporting we'd signed him, now they are saying we are in talks. Can't say I'm over the moon, and don't understand anyone saying he's better than Skirtel!
Don't know much about him, but what I've read doesn't fill me with confidence.
Hopefully it's all smoke and mirrors to disguise the fact we're negotiating to sign Pique.  :f_whistle:

We've signed plenty of players from lower leagues over the decades who have went on to represent the club admirably Walt.

Its a F***ing short term loan so stop going on that its the end of the world.

We have an amazing Academy Walt but like with the seniors all our more experienced CBs are injured too.  This is nothing to do with where we are as a Club, this is due to an unprecedented amount of injuries to our defenders.

And before you take another swipe at the Club or our training methods, all of them were injured whilst out on loan.

This is a f**king joke, is it 1st April already ?

I'd rather have an injured Lovren just standing like a pole in our defence than this guy, Titus Bramble mk2.

Why not try promoting a young player ?

he couldn't get a game for Southampton apparently but he is ok for us. Have we just improved the quality of our squad or just added a body.
Is this how we now do our business . What is the point of our academy ?
