Should it be "Liverpool players must play like lions" rather than a single lion? So not only is it a sh*t quote but it's also grammatically incorrect, or am I wrong?

I thought the same thing. Unless they're trying to say that all of them should play together as one single lion...

I'm just sick of our team having to subject ourselves to all of this bullsh*t just because New Balance is trying to make some sort of a statement with all of these experiments.

I'm convinced that whoever is running the show there must have the mentality of "if we put 20 batsh*t crazy, science experiment gone wrong kits out there year after year, people are going to fall in love forever with at least one of them and maybe Barca or Real will come calling after that."

I guess we should all just be happy that they've limited the craziest ones to just our alternates.

Actually think it was taken from something Gerard Houllier said, so technically it is correct.

Doesn't make it grammatically correct though.

I know the background behind the quote. I was just pointing out how it didn't seem to make sense.

I never have understood why a manufacturer would spend time adding stuff like that to the inside of shirts, bit like Umbro with all their kits having co-ordinates on the inside.

Did I see lime green there?

Why deviate from our usual yellow third kit? A yellow third kit is our identity synonymous with Liverpool FC.

      These sportswear makers!!!

I swear we've only had this twice in the last ten years, not enough!

      Back after some research.
You think a yellow third kit is not synonymous with our identity? The following is factual.

      As a third kit:
      1967-68 Blank
      1979-82 Blank, Hitachi, Crown Paints
      1985-87 Crown Paints
      1994-96 Carlsberg
      1998-99 Carlsberg
      2001-02 Carlsberg
      2005-06 Carlsberg

      As an away kit:
      1982-85 Crown Paints
      1997-98 Carlsberg
      2000-01 Carlsberg
      2004-05 Carlsberg
      2006-07 Carlsberg
      2014-15 Standard Chartered

This is enough for me. Yellow has been our identity. Don't ignore our history.

Third kit reminds me too much of the time Del Boy and Rodney painted a Chinese restaurant kitchen with luminous paint.

New 3rd kit colours based on the 2001 UEFA cup final programme

like the 2nd kit is based on the 1977 European cup final programme.

After watching the Inter match my wife asked me why are Liverpool playing in that horrible green strip. The only answer I could give her is it has been designed by people who do not understand our history. :f_steam:

      Looks gray to me.

I think people are getting stupidly worked up over a shirt and shorts we won't even wear that much.

And who will care if we win the league in it?

Were we not playing AC Milan... anyway I quite like the 3rd kit. I know it's a bit out there but we have had a lot worse.

One thing that irritates me is how they feel the need to add daft lines or patterns to everything. What's wrong with a plain material without all this 'technology' bullshit? :D

That jacket is the business, I actually like the gray one Jürgen has been wearing even better than the black.
