What you get with Flanno (that you invariably don't with Moreno) are the subtleties of defending. Little things like he will take a few steps to 'shut the line' and force and an attacking mid to come inside with the ball, he did it on a few occasions tonight and whilst he isn't the prettiest footballer in the world he is quite composed on the ball, there's no panic and he generally looks to play it forwards. He did alright tonight, the minutes will have done him the world of good and he'll get better and better.

MOTM Joe Allen (A) for the tackle late on when the guy waltzed past a couple of our players out on the wing we were in all sorts if he hadn't taken one for the team  ,and (B) for keeping it together when in mattered most .

Yep, I posted that a few pages back, had his peepers locked shut and was babbling to the Big Man upstairs it was priceless! I really would prefer he didn't play but you can see he is a cracking team mate!

yep night there was some serious kick-offs around anfield and two birmingham stabbed if I remember rightly, walking down to the ground and windows of Sam Dodds were already boarded up before kick-off hahahaha!
