yep night there was some serious kick-offs around anfield and two birmingham stabbed if I remember rightly, walking down to the ground and windows of Sam Dodds were already boarded up before kick-off hahahaha!

I remember because my old dad was with me god bless him and we were down in the main stand next to the Birmingham supporters and he thought he needed to take them all on himself. Happy days.

Amongst our joy tonight there was someone missing who would have loved the evening.

Sad to read of the passing of Colin Vearncombe the singer known as Black.

Singer / Composer of "Its A Wonderful Life"

Ex Prescot Grammar School lad  (my old flea pit )  he was a true Red.

I gave my motm to Lucas , he hardly done a thing wrong all night , i think maybe one or two misplaced passes but he was rock solid .
For me Sakho , Toure , Can , Hendo , Moreno were all gash tonight .

300th game for the club tonight! Wore my Lucas jersey in tribute to the big guy for the game (away kit from 2011/12).

Played well and a brilliant penalty, too.

Love Lucas but voted for Mig as the man deserves some TLC from us considering how poor he has been.

Met John Bishop at half-time, told him it was much better meeting Rob Guttman & Neil Atkinson from The Anfield Wrap on the way in, though having a bevvy (or three) with WAHS was a highlight as well.

Overall impressions, we're too hesitant with and without the ball. Our decision making is poor and nobody is quite on the same wavelength as each other. Henderson and Sakho are playing with injuries and the team are too silent as well, little or no talking, barring Lucas. We were poor tonight, a few stuck out more than others. Can was atrocious, Moreno was lucky he didn't get more than the play throttling from Klopp, Flanagan got away with a tackle or two, that on another day could very well be a second yellow. Milner, Lalana and Firmino were all off key and all looked scared to attack Stoke's back line. One big plus was Joe Allen, still don't want him starting, but he's becoming a very useful tool from the bench.

Time to sort tickets for Anfield South.

Get the F**k in!! We're off to Wembley!!!  Tonight was just about getting through and we did it. Get the F**k in lads! Absolutely buzzing!!!!

I will, as always, talk about the game though.

We were sh*t tonight, very sh*t actually. We couldn't string two passes together and the rare times we did go into stokes half we couldn't break their two walls of four down. They were very organised and well drilled and we were clueless at times.

Mignolet - I actually thought he had a very good game even before the shoot out. He came out and caught/punched the ball a lot better tonight and made one or two nice stops. He was the hero in the shootout too. I'm probably his biggest critic but fair play to the lad, faultless tonight.

Flanno - surprised to see so many votes for motm. Thought he had a shocker. I love flanno to bits but he couldn't pass a ball straight tonight. He's bound to be rusty though. It was also very noticeable just how often Clyne gets forward. We had no width or options on the right tonight.

Sakho - very stray passes as usual but defended well for most parts. He was trying his best to get the crowd going which was boss to see as well.

Toure - same really, defended pretty well for most parts.

Moreno - Wasnt his best game tonight. Quite wasteful on the ball too at times.

Can - thought he was awful. He lost possession too many times. To be fair to him though he works hard and he's constantly sprinting and closing space down but he was terrible on the ball tonight. Unlucky not to score though.

Hendo - worst player on the park.

Lucas - my motm. Got stuck in and did a great job at CB when toure went off too. Was great to see him smash his pen in a second time once his first shot hit the back of the net and then put a fist up to those stoke cu*ts behind the goal. Him and sakho were the only ones up for it tonight.

Lallana - sh*te as usual. Offers absolutely nothing. Bored of watching him do turn after turn after turn after turn.

Milner - a bit better than Lallana but also offers little for us when we attack.

Firmino - wasn't in the game much but I'm gonna put that down on the midfields performance tonight. Lucas aside, they were all sh*te.

Agree with this. Taking that yellow card probably kept us in the game.

I was actually cheering when he committed that foul. Was such a good foul to make after Moreno's pathetic attempt at winning the ball. Reminded me of the Champions League game when Walcott should have been hacked down early on in his mad run before setting Adebayor up.

The kind of foul Lucas gets dog's abuse for, but doesn't deserve. Gave wee Joe my MOM vote.
