That was the death knell of the whole thing. Also handed the title to the c**** that year as well, a move which was never repeated or preceded. Not like those c**** to get preferential treatment, especially when Ferguson was manager.

Boring game but thought we actually did alright with half a team out.

The sooner we sell Benteke the better. I think if we sell him in the summer we will still get 20+ for him. He has to go though.

Totally agree. Pointless having a striker who can't get in the team and the longer we keep him, the more his value diminishes. Fortunately for us most people in football can still remember that he is a good player who when a team plays to his strengths has the potential to become a top one.

The way he's playing right now and the fact we've made it abundantly clear he doesn't figure in our plans means we'll need two teams in for him to get any real value out of the sale. But in any case I should think we'll get low 20's at least, probably significantly higher if  we suddenly find the key to getting him playing like he can again.

That and F***ing round with kick-off times for finals etc. Not too arsed with teams playing changed teams, good to see other players coming through. Just does my head in when sh*te like "disrespecting the cup" gets thrown around - especially with injuries we've had at the minute.
