Liverpool have contacted Coventry City over a deal for James Maddison, but will wait until the summer to land the teenager. (Paul Joyce)

I see some are now saying "he's the next Deli Ali", I know little about the bloke if that's true or not but we should have signed the first Deli Ali who is only just in his first season at Spurs.

Just watched YT vids of him, looks more of a Coutinho/Iniesta type midfielder. Apprently, they want 7m for him :/

Is the transfer committee secretly sourcing 'potential' behind Klopps back ?   :f_tongueincheek:

Classic catch 22 here...if we got him it would be lack of ambition and why the hell are we scouring the lower leagues, we did not get him so it will be yet another sign of not being able to get a deal done.

Ah so not the next Alli, he's the next Lallana!

To be totally honest there's a part of me that thinks you could be spot on though.

      Or both could be true.

We aren't showing ambition AND it's another sign of not being able to get a deal done.

nobody will convince me that in the 72 league clubs outside the EPL there isn't a single player who with work could make it in the EPL.

According to Bascombe FSG were willing to pay more for Teixeira but Jürgen didn't want to and thought he'd rather keep the money for the summer.

Like I've said before I think Jürgen's and FSG's thinking on recruitment isn't a million miles away from each other.
