55% of ticket prices are increasing, so does it matter that they won't all be £77

Bayern were quoted in Oct  2015 as £105 for a season ticket so it is relevant. Regardless of which even without the increase they are too expensive and if the club did not waste money they could reduce ticket prices by just buying one less dud per season

Interesting piece in the Echo about price rises in the last 35 years. Allowing for inflation the avg season tickets should now be just over £200.00p that is something to think about.

Stop taking fans for granted - Roy Evans
LFC must stop taking fans for granted says former boss Roy Evans as the ticket row rumbles on.
''It's got to stop being all about money and go back to being a sport, I hope Liverpool are big enough to work it out. It seems ridiculous that prices go up,'' he told Radio 5 live.

since the wonderful smart Yanks came in how much have we spunked on players like Balotelli or Lambert enough I would guess to actually stop charging people for coming to the game. Once they have actually started to manage the clubs finances correctly then it might be time to review ticket prices .

Is there a side-by-side comparison of the previous ticket prices and the future prices available anywhere?

If I remember correctly in 1980 ish the season ticket was about £70 allowing for inflation it should be around £200 .
Football is now at a crossroads if they want supporters they need to stop fleecing them if they just want bums on seats carry on .

Thought this might be an appropriate thread to ask this question.

So we gained worldwide news by walking out at the 77 minute Mark. Everyone including the Boss and FSG have had a word and in their case, I think I read somewhere that they may be looking at "readjusting" the price of tickets in wake of the walkout.

Can we not do some form of protest even if its holding up placards/signs at the ground and get the world and the Owners to get the hint that we want rid of this bullshit Transfer Committee malarky that's destroying OUR Club?

Those cu*ts need to go because they're F***ing useless!

That's perspective, the Dortmund fans protest was in the quarter final of the cup and their tickets cost £30.

      Nope, £55.

Standing ticket prices are relatively cheap in Germany, but some seated tickets are almost on par with us.

      Pure F***ing unadulterated greed.

The billions coming in from TV,sponsorships etc etc, yet they still think it's right to increase tickets prices.

      Morally bankrupt..

I understand the cultural thing they spoke of....I mean here ticket prices are crazy for all major sports but you would never see any type of campaign or protest...basically here if you can't afford it then either work harder and make more money or don't go...that is the culture here and its the way its always been.

The issue is that unless FSG want to go through this all the time they better get advisers that are going to give them the straight scoop and not just lip service.

Maybe that's why ticket prices are crazy in the US mate, nobody objects or campaigns against the exorbitant hikes and they continue unabated.
There is a culture clash in the respect that while rampant profiteering is the norm in the states and it's implications grudgingly tolerated, in Liverpool it is called 'taking the piss' and the natives get restless Erik.
