Hoping to get a ticket for this game....walked out on 77 mins last sat and I'm proud I did after what's happened #powertothefans
won't be doing that on Sunday, be there the full 90+ we should on paper easy beat these, but how many times have we said, there's no easy games in the premiership, still, we have to believe we'll come away from Villa Park with 3 points no matter what team we put out, Jürgen I suppose will have one eye on the Augsberg game the following Thursday, but the players mustn't get distracted as we badly need the points.

Defo throwing a bet on benteke scoring. Crying out for a goal, playing against ex club, it's a banker

I expect him to struggle to get game time. Klopp will go for Firminho again, and Benteke will be left to see IF he gets on the pitch at all.

Would love to see Benteke and Sturridge as a partnership again.

Must win game on Sunday, Villa will give us a tough game, battling for every point. Still a game the Reds should finally chalk up a victory, should play a full strength side.

See Paul Merson is predicting a 1-0 Villa win. Let's stuff them just to shut that c**t up!

Magic man? Just a massive piss flap is Merson!

Nah. Studge and Firmino. They can actually put the ball in the net.

                     Mignolet

      Clyne     Toure    Sakho   Moreno

                      Hendo   Can

      Milner         Firmino      Coutinho

                        Sturridge

This is what I think Klopp will go with.
I'd have Smith and Lucas in for Moreno and Toure though.
Either way it should be enough to beat Villa.
Would love to Stewart get a chance, he's barley put a foot wrong in the games he's played.

Lerner and Werner are good mates. Villa badly need a win no matter the cost, while Liverpool will look to make up for 2mil ticketing loss. Not optimistic about this one.

These are probably the worst PL team I've ever seen. If we can't beat this pile of sh*t then I give up.

Ahh it's Tadders and his grim prophecies!

Have a bit of optimism please! PLEASE?!

I think we will 9-0 with Benteke scoring 5, Moreno getting a hatrick and Lallana scoring with a convoluted flick. Mignolet will catch the ball 3 times, once from a corner and will kick directly to one of our players (instead of straight out)

      • Caulker picks up knock in training, nothing serious.

      • Allen & Lovren scan results not back. Suspected cramp in 3 places on hamstring for Lovren, medical team hoping not another strain, Allen ongoing shoulder injury which led to fatigue, close to recovery.

      • Skrtel suffers setback and out for 3 more weeks

I would definitely start with Benteke and Sturridge, assuming he hasn't picked up another injury by then ;-). Surely the players have had enough rest time after Tuesday to be fit again for Sunday, it is 5 days rest ffs?

I reckon we'll have more than enough for Aston Villa and I actually think Benteke will finally find his scoring touch, it should certainly be a pitch he's familiar with, just hope he doesn't score at the wrong end.

The prospect of Sturridge, Firmino and Coutinho as an attacking trio is mouth watering.

Fingers crossed all three stay fit by kick off to see it happen.

I'd leave Sturridge on the bench to bring on late, no use forcing the issue with him, we need him in the cup games and Europa league.

Let Phil get 45 minutes or so and manage him as well. Rely on Firmino as usual.

We'll win this one 2-1, I'm pretty confident of that.

I think Sturridge needs to play if he wants to play in the cup final. After Sunday's match we only have 2 Europa league games and there is no way he will play in Europe on the Thurs before the cup final.
Doesn't leave much time to get match fitness if he doesn't play on Sunday.

                     Mignolet
      Coutinho.             Origi

               Allen Can Hendo

      Clynne.  Lucas Flano Smith
                      Benteke

We could put Mignolet in goal and Benteke upfront, but I don't think it would make a difference.

When idiotic comments are made, then what else is to be expected?

I think there's a difference between making idiotic comments and someone being an idiot.

      That's just me.

"Hey mate, those comments are idiotic"

"Hey mate, you are an idiot".

Two different things to me. Doesn't matter much I guess. Carry on.

Er, the fact we played them off the park mainly with "the kids" and the only reason we lost is because Benteke is sh*te!

That might have been reason enough to be optimistic, but obviously you're just some sort of idiot.

We lost mate. They hit the post twice, could have had a penalty and we showed all our old vulnerabilities in defence. We were a more attacking threat than of late, but I would have thought that was expected with the return of Sturridge and Coutinho.

We managed to show yet again how profligate we can be in front of goal and how vulnerable we are to set pieces.

I have no problem with people trying to take the positives from the game, but it doesn't matter if you play like Barca if you don't win and we were hardly at that level :)

Considering the team we put out I thought we did enough to win... Benteke obviously thought otherwise!

I've mad a major life decision. I'm deciding for the 1st time in I can't remember how long, to give this one a miss. It's on Monday morning at 1.05am and I have to be at work at 6.30 meaning I need to wake up at 5.30am.

Hopefully me not watching might turn our fortunes around and we end up belting them 8-0 .....fingers crossed.
