Excellent performance - shows what a difference we can make when key players are back. Oh, and having some goal scorers in the team doesn't half help!

Evidence that again, give Jürgen the right players and I'm sure he will deliver.

Real talk, though, how sh*t are Aston Villa? That ownership has completely fu**ed that club over.

      Americans aren't they? :couch:

its hard to appreciate what having a "world class striker" does for a team but his goal set the tone of the match he is irreplaceable.

Think we can agree we are delighted seeing him back on the pitch whacking in goals - he scares the sh*t out of the oppo.

Let's hop for all of us that this is a new start all round and he goes on to fire us right up the table.

And not helped by hiring poor managers. Alex McCleish should never have been the boss, Lambert was far too inexperienced for the job, and Tim Sherwood's appointment was always going to end in tears.

I actually think Remi Garde is their best manager in a while, but the team and club are beyond redemption that no manager could work with this.

One of those that can really benefit from this season mate. As I've tried to say for a long time, this short term pain could turn into long term gain for quite a few of our players and our prospects.

Jürgen will be without doubt who the weak links in this squad are, there are many we knew that but now he will have assessed it. Hence why I'm so positive looking forward. Even more so when we produce that level of performance when we get a few lads back.

Funny how people brush it off like it was expected, I didn't see anyone saying it would be 6-0 pregame.

That is our record victory against them, breaking records the right way again Jürgen, get in fella!

Yeah that's so true. F**k the doom mongers - so called "supporters" huh?

I actually thought our pressing game was superb. You can see that the pressing game relies on a mobile and energetic front three. I knew the gulf in quality between a Benteke led attack and the attack we had starting today was massive but I didn't know it was that huge.

Very surprised at Villa. They had looked competitive in recent weeks. Draw against Leicester, wins against Palace and Norwich. No doubt Villa were completely upset and probably surprised by our pressing and attacking today.

you can tput a price on quality and what Daniel does is make good players look even better this season is just starting

I need help with MOTM tend to go for the emotional pick Toure but Firmino and Couthino were awesome Can quiet and supportive Mignolet clean sheet and clattered a few. But for me I think Danny's goal set the tone for the game and he makes the team look so much more balanced

When people are having a go at our players in this game where there is absolutely nothing to have a go at him for then you've really got to wonder about our supporters. I wouldn't expect someone to come out criticising Mignolet today as much as I wouldn't expect someone coming out saying he was unbelievable. Strange people.

I'm not having a go at any of our players.

Apologies if I've upset some of you.

Yes, Moreno and Mignolet played really well today. Great performances. Complete all round stonking performances. Commanding in every aspect.

Guess we won't have the 'we need a complete clearout of the squad in the summer' merchants in this week. Or the 'all the players are F***ing sh*te' gang either.  What a difference a bit of clinical finishing can do.

If we can keep that front 3 together, should start to get reward in games which we previously haven't managed to kill off / win due to wasted chances.  And if Klopp can keep Studge fit and on the pitch, THAT will be a big achievement in itself.

The longer the season goes on, the more writing goes on the wall for Benteke. Unless something big changes before season end, we'll be cashing in, and rightly so.

Great to get a good win today, now we need to put a few together in the push for top4 :)

That could have been 10, partly because villa were so poor, but we attacked from all angles some brilliant over laps

Don't want to highlight any individual but.....thought Origi was boss when he came on. Looking forward to seeing more of him. Obviously brilliant to see Studge back looking sharp.

Special mention to Kevin Stewart on his league debut thought he fitted right in. Well done kiddo.

Lastly as someone who seen villa produce some very good sides in the 80s and 90s I think it's sad to see how they have fallen. A huge club now badly ran and there 112 year stays in the top flight looks over
