but then the question is who to play in CB and midfield, I think I'd be tempted to go with Hendo and Fabinho and then have a more attacking midfield of Thiago, Shaq and Gini, that could actually work quite nicely allowing Hendo and Fabinho to combine CB with DM work, plus would give us a hell of a counter punch, even if Utd sit deep.

Seems a straight forward shout beteeen Rhys Nat andcHendi

Seems most have written Rhys off for being outpaced by a 17 year old who for all i know could make a 17 year old Michael Owen look slow

It's not the first time he's been done for pace. To be fair to the lad he's young and green, with a bit more match experience better positioning will make up for lack of pace.

Yes, but Rhys really is shockingly slow, did no one notice his lack of pace as he was progressing through the ranks? Surely for our system one fundamental quality for any CB is pace.

      Back in training apparently.

Worth the risk of he's fit?

Any updates? Think if hes not doing full training today forget about him

Full team training on Friday. I reckon if he makes it through lighter training on Saturday he starts the game.

I said before to be mindful of the risk of rushing him back, but even if he can't play over the next two weeks following this one, Jürgen may decide it is worth it to have him i the lineup (and allow Henderson to lead the press in midfield).

Play him Sunday and against them again next week play Phillips midweek perfect game for him

Yeah, Burnley lumping high balls into the box. That's where Phillips is strongest.

Not going to play him 3 games in  a week that's for sure so would go with that

      Yep.

As underrated defender in the league as you'll find. He's a class act as a player but injuries just mean we cannot rely on him.

We have to do something or it's total negligence by the club.

If Matip is fooked and Fab is out for a bit I agree. It can be addressed if its not then they need a good explanation as to why. Ibe always said it doesnt have to be a 60 million pound player. The 2 I mention sre free and hugely experienced.....be down right stupid at this point

If it’s a serious injury then they have to bring in a replacement just beyond negligent.

      100%.

I understand needing the right player but there should be at least one CB there who fits some sort of profile even if its a short term loan.

Matip has a permanent issue regardless. Plays 1 misses 1 at the very best of times now we play twice a week.

Now hes playing half missing 3.

      When will the madness stop...

I think Kane might have fell on him in the firat half. At the time I was worried but he got up and carried on untroubled. But then didn't reappear 2nd half.
