Honestly still thinking he's our Number 2 CB but we need to upgrade for sure.

Was convinced Konate was going to be our No 2 choice till after he came back from the WC. Looks shaky as F**k since he has come back, so returned Joel to Number 2 IMHO.

Konate's been better in the last couple of games, he was probably man of the match for us against Chelsea. Even Baresi would look shaky as F**k with the way we're playing at the minute.

had to dig deep to find Joels thread he does go under the radar a lot. Thought he was solid yesterday and does bring the ball out well. Maybe he has been written off a bit too soon.

I think people just know that as soon as he's been on a run of games and on good form, he's going to pick up a knock. Joel when healthy is a great CB. Love him and what he adds to the team.

Thought he was poor last season and on his way out but he’s been brilliant this season when called upon. Thoroughly deserves his spot in the side alongside Virgil right now.

Sounds like a long layoff on the cards for Matip. In fact with his deal running out that maybe his final appearance if the knee injury is a bad one. Gutted for Joel.

Dont think thats a surprise matip has always been excellent. His problem past few years was his body wouldnt let him play every few days, but once a week no problems. Not actual had too many serious injuries. Since Ankle Jan 21 (that stat surprised me).

Looked like he did his meniscus when I first saw it. Definitely a knee ligament. From a dude whose tore major ligaments in both knees, it looked like that to me.

Love Joel. Seems to be an amazing guy in the locker room. Everyone loves that guy

Probably won't see him play for us again but what a piece of business on a free. Had his fair share of injuries but certainly played his part in our recent success.

real shame, and a huge blow. you have to wonder if we look in the window now..... we really could do with some luck with injuries.
