I pointed out that their spine of Kompany Toure (when he feels like it), Silva and Aguero in terms of their skill, power and leadership across the pitch is more than what we have.

You just need to look at our Captain and Vice Captain extremely limited players how are they going to inspire those around them.

Sometimes just have to face it if both teams are on there game City will beat us because of their players ability.

Your completely right how could our world class Milner, Moreno,Hendo, a make shift CB pairing, half fit Sturridge not have played them off the park.

Yep missed Lallana out which is unfair he was outstanding tonight, probably closest to Milly for MotM. Not just what he did with the ball but also off it, clearly fired up after that confrontation, now don't let that level drop Adam lad.

Now that was much more like it, only fly in the ointment was West Ham and manure also winning but lets build some momentum now, 4th place is still possible but we need to play like that most games.

Just brilliant. Lallana motm but Milner and Can were outstanding. What's with Kolo's form. He is playing great football. Definitely give him another year.

Went for Milner M.O.T.M but could have been any of 3 or 4 players. Lot of 8 out of 10 performances tonight lot of effort and saying this very quietly... quite a lot of quality.

flanno 7.5 - caught out a few times but on the whole did really well.
kolo 8 - immense
lovren 9 - immense, my motm
clyne 7 - good job at lb, did his business without bringing much too the table to shout out about
can 8 - proper midfielder, proper midfield display, gets involved, puts himself about.
hendo 6 - sloppy hendo, gave away the ball at least a dozen times.
milner 9 - was everywhere, never stopped running and put on a real kwality show.
firmino 7 - thought he lost out quite often at times but made up for it with few moments of class which decided the game.
lalalalalana 9 - best game i've seen him play
origi 8 - thought he was very good, a lot stronger than sturridge.

benteke 6 - meh, won a free kick that nearly lead to a goal, otherwise....

Delighted to hear we won. Didn't see any of it. Sounds like we played great though ... well, either that, or it's all down to Klopp's influence on this particular occasion

Would like to think this is the start of a good run. If we could put 3 or 4 or 5 back to back, think we'd be in the CL places. The teams above are already staring to bottle it and start dropping points, if we can be the ones picking them up, happy days!

Unfortunately, have been here before. Great win, higher hopes. But definitely some light now at the end of the tunnel ... still a good bit of tunnel to go ... if we can just stay on track ... and give the tunnel metaphors a rest ... maybe we can keep interest going and be in the top4 shake up come season end.

I needed some medicine and that game was it, Lallana motm for me but there were at least 6 players who played at that high level tonight. Great stuff.

Missed the game. Delighted to see we trounced them 3-0. Should have won the cup!!!! Ah well.

Superb performance tonight from almost every player. Probably left it too late for a top 4 surge but you never know. 7-1 against City this season in the league. 😄
