For the first time in ages, can't fault anyone. Really good performance from a half decent team, to beat a so called, a world class team.
Fantastic lads, well done. 90 mins of pure endevour.

The best thing about tonight was the fact that, city were not bad, we just made them look bad. Every player was up for it and how pleasing was it to see Milner celebrate his goal rather than be quite about it?

      PS: I chose Toure!

A scouser in the side and we do that? That hard as nails local spirit just spreads through the team doesn't it?  :D

Milner was probably MOTM but I voted Flanno for no other reason than that tackle on Sterling in the first half :D

No special tactics tonight we just pressed the life out of City and they couldn't cope after the marathon a couple of days ago.

Cracking game from Lallana, probably the best he's played since joining us.  All the little tricks and turns he does that usually come to nothing had an end product tonight.  Happy for him but let's see if he can keep it up.

      Firmino also becoming more consistent.

Some tough decisions to be made come summer.

Kinell you are a sad case one win and everyone's a world beater!

Wise up chump because when this schizophrenic team lose, pretty soon I imagine, you will look an even bigger idiot than normal.

FFS it's not hard to understand - I'm not saying the team won't ever lose I'm saying that the team has more than enough quality to beat City hence we fu**ed up in the final.

Others, including you, are saying that we couldn't beat them as we didn't have enough quality. That's just an excuse as tonight (and the 1-4 result earlier that I referenced) has proven.

The score after 210 minutes of football regardless of venue is 4-1. We were just unlucky at Wembley.

HSc is just a bundle of joy. He's got his knickers in a twist because Milner outplayed worldbeaters.
Lallana MOTD for me. Great performance from all the lads bar our captain, who needs some time on the sidelines.

You really are one of a kind, concentrate on the football and maybe you might get more credibility in your posts.
We ran them off the park tonight by pressing them high up the pitch, something you think is a bad idea!

There was no particular level of skill needed from any individuals, just individuals more committed than their opponents.

Can't remember the endless number of teams that have beaten City this season btw.

Yeah, we just need to be consistent. There's talent and quality in the squad no doubt.

Firmino getting into those Suraez positions for his goal. Benteke should have pushed forward to collect a through ball on 77 minutes. I guess he isn't wired to "point out those forward spaces (located behind the defenders and in front of the keeper) and run into them". Could have gotten a fourth.

Great result.  If we  can win the next PL game we're up there. If we could catch up a bit beyond that it could be a very interesting run in, City look vulnerable to me and 4 place for them is by no means a certainty.  Firmino beginning to prove his potential now.  Couthino Firmino Sturridge - thats some forward line for the run in and next season.  We just need a midfield like Stevie, Xabi, Masch!

Went for Milner but I suspect Can was probably the man of the match amongst people who went tonight.

Picked the wrong f**king City game to go to this week didn't I!

      seriously stop going mate !

Good result tonight, a lot better performance from the team than on Sunday, tough call on motm but gonna go for Lallana, as I thought he gave a good performance, scored a very good goal and looked a lot better re-watching on match of the day. Great to see Flanagan back in the team and did very well. All in all a very good win.

How the F**k did that tw*t Navas stay on the F***ing pitch after virtually kicking Lallana twice. That Atkinson is one c**t of a ref.

thanks for great night boys! what a revenge. and improved mood on this beautiful site as well. enjoying our victory. i saw Jürgen after our second goal and he looked frikin serious. serious about every f***in win. he doesnt take any game lightly im telling you. he wont forget cup final defeat, he will bounce back.

Jurgens mentality, and will to win, is stronger than anybody of us could think. some of us forget about "milk cup" final defeat quickly. Jürgen will have it in back of his mind until he does something big. dont underestimate this german fella. he is one of the strongest characters in world football management. and hes a top fella, not a  horrible scumback mourinho. JK is a gift to LFC

Haven't seen it yet (don't ask) but what a brilliant result that is. F****** Dr Jeckyl and Mr Hide this team of ours, but on it's day it can give anyone in our league a beating.

Good win. Nice tonic after the cup final defeat.

Special praise to Lallana (who I think needs shipping out  :D), Milner "Mr Plodder", and Can who actually looked like a CM tonight.

Doesn't change the fact that once in a while, like the bitters, we can raise our game against the bigger boys, yet come crashing back down to earth with a wallop against the likes of Sunderland.
