That was a definite penalty IMO. You can clearly see how his knee made contact with Ben's foot. Lovren my MOTM. Very pleased with him lately.

Funny isn't it.  If the keeper hadn't moved first then that probably would have been the last time Benteke kicked a ball for Liverpool.

Last 25-30 we were the far batter side, to turn around 1 down with 10 men against a team built for the counter attack is great from the lads.

Couple quick things

I thought Lovren was boss, that's the best I've seen him in the shirt.. Well in lad, I hope he keeps improving

Thought it was a pen, one of those where you wouldn't be too happy if it went against you but there was contact, at pace, their lad went to ground and was done. Not saying I'd be happy against us but defo a pen

Nope, he was MOTM. Top top performance from Dejan - streets ahead as our best central defender since Klopp arrived.

Delighted for the guy - he really lead the back line today, and dare I say it, put in a captain's performance.

Him and Can were absolutely fantastic today. For their performances alone, that is why we deserved to win.

Benteke is convinced it was a penalty ... "Christian Benteke says "I think he touched me" when asked if it was a penalty.

Can't stand that type of penalty Benteke done, as we saw with Coutinho last week, it went wrong. But Benteke managed to pull it off and win us the game. Hopefully the squad can take this buzz into the next game now and get another win.

He's always been like that with his penalties if my memory serves me correctly. I like it when a player is used to doing it and pulls it off, that wasn't the case for Coutinho.

Keeper didn't have much to do
Defence was solid, thought Loveren was mom
Midfield was anonymous for most of the game Henderson was woefull
Upfront not to bad Origi played well as did Ben when he come on.
Lucky to come away with 3 points got to play better on Thursday

About time we had a bit of luck, take the penalty any day haha especially off Palace.

Palace going for the winner when we had 10 men killed them, surprisingly with an extra man, they tired towards then end with us gaining more control. Thought we were patient with our build up towards the end which was great to see.

Hendo and Firmino were poor imo. Lovren, MOTM, but Can was very good again.
