I think I just expressed myself badly that's all. What I meant was I find almost all nicknames cheesy for everyone, but that's just me. However I think Sir Kenny Dalglish, would have a good ring to it. Also I apologise for the miss spelling of the name before. I could have sworn it had an e in it but I guess not.

Getting back to the 'sentiment' behind the opening post and away from the simple schizo [convinced it's two separate posters under one username]...

Yeah Rushy - the selection process for knighthoods is a F***ing joke but you must remember the whores who 'select' are totally out of touch with the common man; their knowledge of the game limited to what the media promote. The 'media' [Murdoch's minions] have no time for anything L.F.C.

It's, sadly, as simple and transparent as that.
I still find it really strange though

Apparently, Liverpool Walton MP Steve Rotheram has brought this issue up a few times

No way we should be campaigning for knighthoods - F**k all that sh*t.
Why act as if such things have any value?

As for Ribapuru - that is a seriously funny piece of dumb literal mindedness.
Or its an opportunity to climb on your high horse and shout "burn the heretic!"
You don't need to read Stuey's post to know which one he went for.

Shanks with his socialist principles would have told them where they could stick it. I doubt Bob would have wanted the fuss. I think the suggestion that an award for the King would be as much about an award for Lady Marina are right but if that's the case she deserves it in her own right!

      Exactly.

I think he deserves one, and Dame Marina sounds good too.

Question is, if Busby, why not Shanks? If Ferguson, why not Paisley? If Brooking, why not Dalglish?

Sorry for upsetting you guys. I'll be more accepting of the nickname. I don't even know why I was bothered yesterday, it was a bit silly of me really.

We all make mistakes.  But that previous post can really wind us all up.  Because he is our King that is what the KOP named him and that is what he lived up to.   Suarez left we became a mid table team.  Keegan left we got the King and got better and better.

nobody associated with our club who thinks the way we do would want anything to do with that system. being a liverpool legend and an ambassador for the city and it's people is so much greater then doing what is asked of you by a system and being rewarded with "knighthood". that is nothing to do with culture or community but selfishness and greed.

Hope the club  make a fuss of him as best they can in this situation.

Might be nice foe the players to beat Chelsea that night as a present

We should have a king Kenny day. Post as many pics, vids etc and or favourite memories of him

Whether or not you agree with the principles of an archaic system that benefits the wealthy and their pals and subservients, the cold light of day shows that Kenny especially has been overlooked for far too long when it comes to a knighthood. Look at some of those that have been granted it. Complete wastes of oxygen in every sense. Then The King. Hero to many people in every sense of the word. Worked tirelessly for  those in need and to get justice. Gracious, caring, honourable.

      And still overlooked...

F**k the capital, F**k the tory government and F**k any other who disagrees with what is thoroughly deserved.

      Clearly not.

Just ask why something that is handed out so readily to those not deserving, took so long for someone who massively deserved it.

It was a rant so didn’t make much sense granted....
