At the bottom of that article:

We also understand Liverpool have had a bid for Schalke 04 winger Leroy Sane rejected and are considering whether to make a second bid for the 20-year-old.

Hell yes we should make a second bid.

I just hope that would not be to replace Coutinho!

And on Hector, Paul Joyce seems to "think" that we are not interested in him!

He's a winger and we've been linked with him long before Coutinho has been linked with a move away.

Is right why would we want a German international when we have the shittest full back in the league

Sane would be absolutely fantastic, all the characteristics of what we need to make our style work, I'd much prefer to get him than Gotze if I'm honest. I just can't see it happening though because I think a lot of the top clubs will be in for him too and we'll simply be outbid. If we had to choose one to outbid others on I would be extremely tempted to make Sane that one.

Hector, Germany's starting LB for £12m does seem one hell of a deal and would be an enormous upgrade for us defensively. Seems like Jürgen is really addressing things from back to front as many of us have said you must and Jürgen has said so too.

LB GK and CB looking like being our first business, if he addresses CM also (Dahoud being rumoured) then he's right on the money where I thought our priorities were.

Doing all that for just £17m too when you consider it's the 2nd best keeper in Germany, one of the top CBs in Germany and Germany's starting LB, that would be honestly tremendous. Should give us real ammo if we do get in a bidding war for the likes of Sane, even still with the amounts being mentioned (£250m+) for some clubs it might just be out of our reach.

James Pearce/Echo reporting no deal is in place. We aren't even interested according to them.

Or possibly, a multipack packet of haribo, a finger of fudge (mini) and a packet of spangles with a sell by date of 12/04/72.

What on earth are spangles? :D.

From Wiki: Spangles was a brand of boiled sweets manufactured by Mars Ltd in the United Kingdom from 1950 to the early 1980s.

a link from the express is NOT an update. why don't we only put meaningful updates? then discussion can hold a straighter path without people thinking we're in and out for players daily!

I'm assuming if we weren't interested at £12M then we probably won't be at £24M?

Although you know - we are Liverpool - so maybe we are now!

And wtfs starburst all about, what was wrong with opal fruits.

Black jacks and fruit salad - I will really show my age now - 32 for an old penny, 16 for an halfpenny.

Mind you I remember the days of 20 fags for 18p and a pint around the same.  Still bleeding expensive though mate in comparison to what I earned, a tenner a week with a fiver left after I'd divvied up my board.
